PS3 is doing horribly, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G effect is starting to wear off, PSP sales are slipping, next week, it will be below Wii for the first time in a few months, but still ahead of DS.  And 360 is still dead

Most Wii fans will find it rather exciting, that's a really improved number.

Indeed, as far as I can see, MGS 4 is going to be the only thing shaking it up for a little while. That is until the jRPGs come in the summer....

It's not supply constrained in Japan anymore is it? And I don't remember hearing about any game come out.

I really hope MGS4 does something for the Japanese.

 The Wii sold about 70,000 last week.  I wouldn't call 72K "really improved."  It's just the Wii's natural sales rate in Japan at the moment.
