I'm wondering where you got the data, their website still gives last week's numbers. Is there another website that updates the chart?

I'm actually quite surprised at the success of Link's Crossbow Training. What's the next big Wii title for Japan?

It's incredible that Wii Fit is hovering at or even above its Golden Week sales.

@FishyJoe

why is it that MHPG 2 doesn't face piracy issues like all the other failing PSP games that are given the excuse of have a piracy issues resulting in low sales?

Because piracy isn't a real issue when it comes to sales. It's a lame duck excuse. Consumers are indocturnated to be willing to pay a fair price for a product they want... and would actually rather do this then steal the game.

The vast majority of people who pirate games are people who wouldn't buy games in the first place. The small amount that do that would pay for it otherwise are offset by mild positive factors like word of mouth and increased value perception.

Any real negative effects piracy may have would be mostly on the sale of used games, and the sales of games like a year later when the games start getting discounted.

People just aren't interested in PSP games... either piracy is helping PSP sales numbers, people are mostly using it for it's other media functions or both.

Also... Deca Sports? Interesting.

MH2G and PSP sales are still great, but seemingly has no impact on the rest of the chart.

Indeed.

MHP2G is selling fine, but no other games are selling...

I hope they localize MHP2G, I'd love to get my hands on it, my PSP is collecting dust.

Seems like Monster Hunter might overtake Wiifit as well in japan. Wonder how the end of generation sales will end up.

Weird how deca sporta is like 35k higher on MC than it was on Fam,

WiiFit is a bit lower here as well.

Will be interested to see MC Hardware.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Hardware usually is up Thursday night.

Friday Morning in Japan, Friday midday in Australia. You need to post timezone on the internet, people won't know if you're using Japanese time, or your own local time, and if using your own local time most people won't have a clue where you come from.

Thanks for posting, you should give the Famitsu numbers for games outside of the top 10 so people have some sort of idea how much they sold.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll keep them in mind when I update this post later.
