EDIT: this is a rant agianst EA, not the Wii for once. That's nice and all... but there are at least 14 for the PS3 from EA. But that's not good enough for me. a PS3 game has about 3x the dev money/time put into it. so if EA was spending as much on the Wii as the PS3, I'd say they would have close to 30Wii games comming, to have the same investment. Also, the PS3 has 5 EA games comming june/earlier. that are announced. There's probibally more than that. Another side note, EA is not... my favorite comany, very few games from EA 'blow me away' A prime example is NFS on the Wii. Hands down. Worst game I ever played, due to the controlls they force. EA does sell alot of games. A whole lot. EA typically buys a name like... "lord of the rings" and then makes a version for the GBA, PS2, X-Box, GC(sometimes), and then another diffrent version for the PC half the time. A prime example, search the game Cars. Far from a great game... yet one of the best selling games (cross platform) 2006. The name of the game is more imporant than anything else. That's one thing EA learned. ESPECIALLY with the American audience. Americans buy games on a whim. Becaue the Cars movie was great... the game will be good too? Havent americans ever learned that if it came out as a move... keep away from the game. If it was a game... keep away from the movie? (I'm sorry, the doom3 movie was fun and all that... but it was kinda... B) I can see a golf game useing the Wii very well... however... I'm not going near it. I hate golf, and I hate sports games just as much as I hate golf. (I dont hate sports, just golf... and sports games)

Just pointing out that the Wii is starting to build some major momentum among 3rd parties. I expect this to continue for several reasons: 1) There are alot of Wii's being sold. 2) It is cheaper to develop for the Wii than the 360 or PS3. 3) The PS2 - you are going to see alot of games published for both the Wii and PS2 as they are closer processing wise than the Wii is to the 360 or PS3. While this has generally been viewed negatively, it will actually help the Wii as anyone targeting a game at the PS2 (and there will be many doing this for years to come) will naturally target the Wii also.

1) I agree. 2) I agree. However with the games costing almost as much, I feel... like I get a better deal paying 60$ for a PS3 than paying 30$ for a Wii. Yet Wii is 50$... I feel jipped every Wii game I get... and Every PS3 game I've gotten I have enjoyed. And even the horrible Gundam game for the PS3 isnt... THAT bad... graphically it's not that bad, it just needs better controlls. 3) Once agian. I agree. However 3rd party devs will have to learn to either adapt the games to use the Wiimote... or to NOT use the Wiimote. As the Wiimote does NOT work on alot of games. There are not enough buttons, and in all honesty, the Wiimotes are finikey. I've returned 1... and alot of people I know have returned them, they stop working all the time, and are VERY finikey. (the one I retured the IR sensor in the tip was out of alingment... and even the 2 good ones that I have... there is a 5degree diffrence in the way their pointed. I can tell if I'm useing my wifes controller... (that's bad))

The point here is that those 15 games for Wii are ADDITION to the games already mentioned in development. I think EA has about 25 or 30 games for development for the Wii right now. Like I've said many times, Wii is the one gathering 3rd party support fastest right now, like it or not. This will continue for a long time because it's a self feeding loop, good support means lots of games -> Wii sales go up -> developers interest increases -> more support. Just like with PS2.

That is total, not added. So EA has 15 Wii games. Total. :)

I actually read only the IGN version of the news quickly but yeah, it's a mistake. However, Larry Probst had this to say: "We are pleased with the performance of our products on next-generation consoles. In the year ahead, we plan to build on our leadership position on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3, and to significantly increase our support for the Nintendo platforms." http://wii.ign.com/articles/760/760600p1.html Significant increase from 15 games sounds a lot to me. Btw. can you name the 14 games in development for PS3?

I wish there was a way to squelch posts from idiots like this who reiterate the same pointless opinion over and over again. Tiger woods is an extremely big deal. Everyone I know owns it and plays it ALOT. Yes we all know Americans can not think, I mean they make the worst products available popular first, like Windows. If you ever played the game cars, you might be surprised at how fun it actually is. Kids love the game especially, and that is who it is targeted at. I mean come on, they are not as shallow as you apparently are, and can have fun without an over the top production.

Ouch, you hurt my feelings. *cry cry* I know the PS3 sucks blah blah, games like KillZone, DMC4, RE5... no-one wants to play those... and GTA4... it sucks... that's why it wont be seen on the Wii! Only good games like FarCry come out on the Wii. That right KohlyKohl. :)
