Intresting news, but what i want to know is when a new F1 game will be released, also what do you think about the move, will it make the next F1 game better or worse? 

Sony did not sell these rights. F1 did.

Sony had held the license before. They opted not to renew that license. F1 put the license back up for purchase. Codemasters bought it this time. 

It's like renting a house, basically. The house owner makes the money. The tenant has changed from Sony to Codemasters, but only the homeowner (F1 racing) is making any money in this transaction. 

Hoprfully the move is for the better (instead of going to EA). Codemasters has probably the greatest crash engine out there but I really hope they make a simulation and not an arcade racer like DiRT &GRID.

well, anyone is better than EA, I suppose, not interested in F1, I shall just stick with GT5

did anyone else ever get F1 manager for the PC, that was a fab game, i wonder if codemasters might make a long awaited sequel.

wasn't intrested in it when sony had the rights, wasn't intrested if codemasters has the rights. gt5:P, only 180 million yen away from my Ferrari F1 car is what my F1 heart is desiring and working on right now.

the original Formula One, of the 1995 season, made by Bizarre Creations was my first Playstation game.. a very good game, I played it a lot back then..

Codemasters made the well-received Toca/Pro Race Driver simulation games. Overall, I didn't like the games as much as Gran Turismo, but there was a lot to love about them. The games had a ton more personality and gave you a better sense of being a racer.

I liked the last F1 game that Sony made, but thought there was a lot that could be improved. For example, the difficulty curve from easy to medium was ridiculously steep.

Codemasters is great at making racing games. They have a lot of respect from me. I really think this is the most fitting developer for the F1 license and I'll definitely be keeping a heads up for the next title.
