a system from rent a center?

 i just got a ad in the mail

 you can buy a wii for 656$ cash!

 OR you can take it out on payments for 27.99 a week!

for 52 weeks WOW MAN lol it says in small letters that the total sale would be 1455.48 when you made all the paymetns!

BUT it gets worse you can buy a ps3 fpr 713$ cash OR you can take it out in payments

29.99 a week total would be 1,589$

how dose this store stay open? are there really morons that pay that price?!

With those profit margins, you don't have to sell a lot...

There are probably a lot  of people that just look at the "weekly" cost and say that's not much and don't realize they even make interest rates on credit cards look good.

There are, and the worst part is you can make a killing off commission working the floors there, or so I've been told.

Basically it's a store for people who want to live beyond their current means and don't care/understand that they are mortgaging away their future.

That pretty much sums it up.  People somehow feel they spend less when it is spread over many months.  Same reason people can get into credit card debt.

I wonder if you can do it for just a week. I mean, it might be good if you are throwing a party or something and want something nice for just a short time.

thats an insane profit margine, on a Wii its like 7 times the price.

Yeah, I saw that too from a rent center around here,
couldn't believe how much the wii is when you add all the numbers, I know I wouldn't rent it form a rent center
