You need to get your facts straight dude. The series didn't start with Resident Evil 4.. 

Yup! Ajax is right, it started on the PC. I remember having to find a 3DFX card to run the game. Hahah 3dfx. That goes back a ways...

 How can you not like RE4?  Great atmosphere, great plot, cool cutscenes, no glitches I've noticed, solid zombie AI.  Sweet game.  One of my favorites of all time.

I didn't notice bad voice acting  ::shrug::  nor really understand what your low pace in cutscenes is supposed to mean.  And repetative?  Whats any more repetative in this game than any other?  Do you mean that you have to shoot everything?  Well, ok, then you don't like FPS or shooting games.  And you'd have to shoot someone several times before they showed damage?  Come on, come up with something better than that.  Explain to me how your favorite games are so much better in that respect.  Zelda shows every mark right?  Melee shows all the cut and bruises on each character, right?

Seriously, if you don't like it, you don't like it.  We all have our preferences.  Your reasons are really weak, but you don't like the game, ok.  Realize a lot of people don't see things like you. 

I am just not getting why there is hype about this game....

go with PS3 as FFXIII is there..

Its Final Fantasy + its the "proper" one being made by the "actual" FF team not sum FF tactics team that made FFXII

 Bah.  The Core FF series has lost it's magic to me.  I'd say go with the 360 if you like RPGs.  And Lost Odyssey was made by Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of Final Fantasy.  So there ya go.

Sakaguchi is one person....very important definetely but there are numerous more people within S-E's staff who worked on the FF's...Since I loved FFX & this is the true next FF I am really looking forward to it

Hawk is right about Lost Odyssey and its more than just Sakaguchi that worked on the game. Nobuo Uematsu did the sound track and its some of his best work in years. If are a fan of Final Fantasy then Lost Odyssey is the game you've been waiting for because the last few SE Final Fantasy titles have been Final Fantasy in name only.

Isn't that her tell tale blue shirt?  See the blue on the lower half of her back, under the harness?  ::shrug::  Though, I'd have to say, a new hot black chick would be awesome.  And a nice counter to the "RE5 is racist" junk 

 Actually, FFX and FFX-2 are the only offline ones I have not played.  I started losing my interest in FF starting with FFVI.  I skipped X, X-2, and XI.  I tried to give the series another chance with XII, but was disappointed.

I will admit I see a lot of people say they love FFX though.  So maybe I chose the wrong time to stop getting the game.  But, it doesn't change that I don't feel like I'm missing anything in FFXIII.
