Forums - Nintendo - Two promising wii games that I never heard of until now.

CORRECTION TO Title. Wii should be wiiware.

Set on a passenger airplane, players take control of a food critic named Larry Adelman. A virus has spread through the plane, turning the passengers (including a heavy metal band, Japanese tourists and Russian businessmen) into vampires.[1] Larry will have to fight off the vampires with weapons including a whip soaked in holy water that stuns them, killing them by stabbing their hearts with wooden stakes made from items found in the cabin.[2]

The game is said to have a bloody and gory cel-shaded look, which seems to be inspired by horror movies. The game's controls utilize the Wii Remote, and features point and click elements.[3]

LIT is an upcoming video game by WayForward Technologies in development for the Nintendo Wii. Released via WiiWare, the game is directed by Adam Tierney and designed by IGN's Mark Bozon.

In LIT, a teenager named Jake must navigate through several rooms of his high school to save his girlfriend Rachael, defeating dark creatures along the way.

The game has been described as a "horror puzzler"[1] and has been compared to the Adventures of Lolo series. Along with featuring combat against the monsters that roam the hallways, the manipulation of light will play a big part in solving certain puzzles along the way.[2]

These games seem promising. I never heard of them though. I hope we get more info on them.

Edit: Here is a screen of Last Flight

WHoa whip soaked in holy water to stun vampires sounds awesome......a game designed by Bozon eh this could be interesting . Hope these games turn out good.

edit: wow thats alot of blood .....loving the art style too

I love the art style of the last flight. The LIT game sounds like a good puzzler, while Last FLight is just what the wii needs to show developers if gore sells on the wii or not.

here some art and drawing from LIT source: http://www.livewii.fr/news/88453/LIT-annonce-pour-Wii-Software.html?c=0

Question. Not to be bashing these games or anything, but how are they promising if you've never heard of them? (The forseeable outcome, after my post, of this is that it will turn into a debate about the PS3 and new IPs, and "PS3 has no games" people will come in.....let's not allow it to get that way)

I just want to know what makes them something to look forward, other than these screens.

Hence the "until now"

Well there is a great need for "mature" titles on the wii other than no more heroes. Then the other one seems like a clasic point and click puzzle, which I like.

i seem to be hearing about alot of zombie and mass killing realated games on wii ware lol very violent ones :p when I first heard about wiiware I figured it would end up full of puzzle oriented games or low key adventure games but there seems to be this flood of shoot/hack em up kinda games on it. Its really giving the hard core players some insentive to get the wii.

If at first you don't succeed, you fail

Wouldn't it be nice if there was something like Portal, with point-and-click controls? Now THAT'S a control scheme I would like

Yes I would love to have portal ported to the wiii, or at least a spinoff.
