Anyone go to one of those when they were younger. It was kinda like that movie "The Wizard" but with a lot less flash. They even had a competition type thing.
I went to one. Wasn't in the competition though... I do however remember standing in line and playing Super Mario World 3 for the first time as they were previeweing it on the screen.
I beat the first world. (not level.) Without dying including the first airship. Heh at that point the guy decided to pull the "Blackout" on me.
(They let people play until they died, or if they died early gave them an extra life or two... and I assume blacked out a few smartass kids like me who somehow made it through the first level.
That's about all I remember of it though.
I also remember entering an SNES event where you qualified at blockbusters, and quit after the second week cause i thought i'd be all hot shit even though I hadn't even played any of the games on the list. After I got my ass kicked in TMNT tournament fighters i couldn't go back.
