After this ( and even before this ) anyone who uses game trailer videos to demonstrate the superiority of any 360 game will instantly have their credibility rating reduced to a nice 0.   Gametrailers is one of the biggest gaming sites on the internet and is in the top 300 of internet sites, period. They have all the reason to not be biased and absolutely no sane reason to undermine their advertisers.

Exactly. All this fake paranoia from PS3 fans is most likely based on several things:

 

A. Everyone on the internet loves drama and they love to keep it going and affect things with their opinions, usually negatively.

 

B. Gametrailers comparitive videos have been largely anti-PS3 because in the past, the PS3 has had inferior ports of many games. Keeping this conspiracy theory going is a nice and convenient way to discredit those facts and call them biased and invalid.

 

C. The entheusiast press loves to caniballize itself when a mistake is made. Our industries "press" is mostly soapbox bloggers all trying to get recognition by giving their opinions with every story they "report." So, when this story broke, the blog-press went crazy.

 

So, when you've got so many fanboys, bloggers, and press/enthesiast gamers out to destroy you for disrespecting their favorite system on a regular basis, it's not in your best interest to cheat on compare videos.

 

This was an accident, and conspiracy theories are secret fanboyism that can't be disproven or insane paranoia.

 

I could give two craps either way though. Gametrailers has some good reviews, I was frankly disgusted with their Kart review, but I'm smart enough to realize that this wasn't an attempt to cheat on a comparison video to try and get people to buy 360's that amazingly crazy and unbelievable even for the internet.

Keighley is not very fond of the 360, nor the Wii for that matter, so I'm not surprised. This does not mean that the entire Gametrailers staff share Geoff's views, that seems a bit unlikely actually given their track record. The Bonus Round is Geoff's show and he edits and records as he likes since he's by far the biggest personality they have and on top of that one helluva game journalist (imo at least). The other content on GT has largely nothing to do with Keighley most of the time. Kinda like the incredible unfair firing of Gerstmann (the Gamespot "incident"), where it was/is fairly evident that the site and that one journalist really had two different perceptions of reality and/or bias.

The video EDITOR doesn't review the game.. he doesn't need to be a "gamer"

Most probably explanation is that they messed up, instead of showing the two good crashes from each console they threw away the 360 by accident and showed both PS3 crashes

Easy, pull the wrong source file out of the video vault and be dumb enough to fit it to the work space.

Just looking at that video, you can tell that whoever did it didn't know WTF they were doing. There are errors all over the place.

Well, I still find it suspicious but I'll defer to people who I respect who have paid more attention to this and other Gametrailers scandals than I have, including DMeisterJ. 

But rocketpig, I don't think that "no sane reason" is good enough to say it definitely wasn't malicious when there seem to be many anti-PS3 fanboys in Gametrailers and we all know that fanboys can act in non-sane ways. 

I'm not saying that everyone in the site is compromised but enough that maybe a few of them could lose their heads on a slow Saturday and think they could slip something under the radar (and then make a retarded mistake like leave the menu tells in).
