Forums - Nintendo - Miyamoto to develop old school style!

It will probably be "Thumb Training: Train Your Thumb In 30 Minutes a Day", it will sell 12 million copies in Japan alone.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

That's the DS's domain. This is the Wii. Get your Nintendo assumptions right.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

If he could just make a really nice SMB level editor with online level-trading and multiplayer and I'd die happy. Especially if you could mix and match elements from SMB1, 2, and 3. That should take him a few hours to slap that baby together and throw it on WiiWare for 200 points and sell it to EVERY WII ON THE PLANET.

I can't be the only person who used to draw Mario levels in Mario Paint and then dream of being able to play on them.

@ Words of Wisdom: How about we make a list of possible pseudonyms for Shigeru Miyamoto? I'll start with your suggestion and a few of my own:

Otomy Mai
Gureshi Yomotami
M-4G
God Incarnate (my personal favorite)

My Wii Friend Code is: 6458-0869-2019-9754

Also, my 3DS Friend Code is: 1891-1193-6272

And my Pokemon White Friend Code is: 2408-6863-8559

PM me with your corresponding code if you Friend me!

Yeah I used to do that too.

Hell I used to hand draw my own Megaman, Mario and other videogames... including stage layouts and enemy placements and such.

Seems possible to do that now though.  People seem to do it with rom hacking or something crazy like that.  I've made similar mario games on easier "do it yourself" game engines.  But I could never get the mario brothers jumping right.

I don't care what game it is, if he creates a game all by himself, I'll buy it guaranteed on day one.

How about
"A Mightier Sumo, Yo!"

or

"A Mushier Yogi Tom"

(Anagrams)

@ Kasz216: Those were nice, but 2 of the pseudonyms I used weren't anagrams... M-4G was a play on Suda 51, while God Incarnate... well, that one's self-explanatory...

that would be great...this world needs new heros

Would be incredible if Miyamoto would enter the overpopulated shooter-market, and create the best shooter ever all on his own by doing his Miyamoto Magic Trick.
The HD-part of the industry would be bitch-slapped until the end of times, Miyamoto would prove his Halo-quote, and Epic Games, with their ''We dont liek teh Wiiz''-quote, would go down in history as 'Epic Failure'.

Miyamoto's game would have the potention to forever change the industry, much like he did that in the N64-era. He would prove that one man could do something... awesome.
