hmm, i believe Miyamoto is referring to one of the fundamental differences between Western and Eastern Culture. Western Culture has always played up creativity and breaking the mold where the eastern train of thought is more regimented from an earlier age. This makes the western way of thinking more creative, and the eastern more improvement oriented. There is actually a saying in a lot of eastern cultures taught to young children "The nail that stands up will be pounded down." in reference to outspoken children. Such advice in the west wouldn't be used because creativity is stressed more and the tradeoff is sometimes a less regimented and patient culture. Just an anthropological thought, neither culture is superior, just different. Heck that's what makes life interesting, differences.
haha wow i sound like an old professor.
