Exclusive reviews are questioned lately because they are almost always high scores. I think many reviewers have to confirm that their review is going to be good before they are given exclusivity. It's stupid because I don't know what other medium has exclusives for reviews. The publisher wants the first review to look good, and the reviewer gets the publicity from being the first.

But whatever, I'm sure this won't be the only 10/10 MGS4 gets. I've heard a lot of great things about it from the 1up Show, a site that clearly didn't get an "exclusive review" since they have at least one reviewer that's played through it.

This is the same magazine that gave Warhawk a 6/10. Then again, they were PSM then. I didn't agree with them then, and I don't trust them now. You are right that it's hard to trust official magazines. I know that "Games for Windows" was always fair. They loved steam and often criticized Microsoft for their Games for Windows label and service. Of course, the magazine supposedly got canceled now...so there ya go, huh? I don't know much about that, though, because I'm behind on the podcasts (they are 1up, too).

10/10 is to high in my eyes, sorry.

At least, I assume it is a good game, so I m happy.

I have the mag, and it says there are no spoilers, but I haven't got round to reading it yet, but I will in the next few hours. For reference, they have only given GTA IV, CoD 4 and Oblivion 10/10, so it is not going to be a bad game at all
It also has an MG timeline, which still leaves me confused
