No, I probably would have given up on gaming to be honest, because I cannot afford a 360 or PS3, and even if I could it would be a stretch to justify that expenditure with what few games are out on them.

As of right now, nope I wouldn't. Though I imagine if the PS3 ends up getting things that I'm interested in a few years down the road and the price drops significantly, then sure I would have.. and still will. Just don't see that happening at the moment

I would have gotten a 360 probably last christmas, and maybe a PS3 in a couple years from now. The way it is now I don't plan on getting a 360 or PS3 for quite a while, perhaps when they are $200.

I would patiently wait for the 360 and PS3 to get near the magical 100$ level with a huge of library of games selling for 20-30$. So, I suppose I would have waited 5 years. Actually, that's what I'm planning to do anyway. It's just that I have a Wii now and a lot of games to play for the next 5 years.

If there wouldn't have been another Nintendo console I wouldn't have bought one, as I already started to lose some interest in gaming altogether with last generation. Probably would have bought a N console with traditional controls though.

Hmm... I had been a PC gamer for a decade, but got a Gamecube in early 2006 after being addicted to Melee, and got a Wii mostly because of how much I loved it.

If the Wii had never been released, then I would've probably acquired both the Xbox and PS2 before looking at the current gen ones, but they would've probably followed eventually. My guess is a 360 around the launch of Halo 3 (since I'm such a sucker for hype), and a PS3 when LBP and MGS4 came around.

I would have stuck with PC/PS2/Gamecube/DS gaming here, the PS3 and 360 aren't getting enough of the games I want at a price I am comfortable with.
