I'm the same, I stopped reading magazines years ago. Atomix was the one that made me stop, as it was really poorly written, with lots of errors, they did not respect their readers at all (or other magazines and opinions for that matter), plus the magazine was really anti-Nintendo just because one of their editors worked on the official Nintendo magazine and left them on bad terms.

I can't believe I paid for that for so long.

Ugh, yeah. They started very well and they became more and more Sony whores that it was very annoying Dx and EGM is going that path too.

I have an old egm from 1998 or so touting the release of FF VII. at keast i was good back then, ui actually found a couple good used sony one games with it.

I don't think magazines are much worse than websites such as gamespot or gametrailers even though you get news in advance with Internet. The non-objective content is pretty much the same.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

I just like the pretty pictures

yeah there are pretty much the same but at least they don't cost 3 dls each ^^

I don't know--game mags sometimes get pretty decent exclusives. Also, for $20 you get interesting bathroom reading for a year. Not to mention it's nice to be able to just read in bed or on the couch without having to set up my laptop and try to get a wireless signal.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Ign is probably the one I like the best. Is less biased...not always of course ;)

This is how the media in general are....they will do anything to appease to the LCD (Lowest Common Denominator). If it means they should become anti-Ninty, blast games because they are not great graphic-wise, they are not violent enough, don't have enough blood etc. etc. as their fan base want them to be, then they will blast them for it.

Add in the fact that not many of the journalists there have gotten over puberty (despite being 30) and you got yourself an unreliable resource for game reviewers. Just choose a website that gives reliable gaming information like releases and such, and leave the reviews for trustworthy friends on the internet. Gone are the innocent days of gaming....it's now a jungle out their for attention whores who need people to look at their web pages at whatever cost.
