Forums - Nintendo - Mario Kart Online... Damn, it's addictive.

BTW, do you guys use the wheel or not? I haven't tried it yet because the controller works just fine by itself and taking off the Wiimote condom just to get the controller in the wheel is annoying.

I haven't used anything but the wheel, except once that I played with my girlfriend, then I had to use the Gamecube controller. I prefer the Wheel by far, I found it to be surprisingly precise (besides being more fun).

I play wheel mode without the wheel. That way I can play with one hand, and do something else, for instance do some math, with the other one. 1 for both brake and slide, 2 for speed, and if I need to use an item I tilt it vertically so it hits me in my head, which is also turned, to make me use it. Works awesome.

Much more fun with the wheel. But there has been on or two occasions where it failed to turn when I wanted it too. But it doesn't happen too often

It's possible (if you were using a bike) that you did a wheelie, I did this quite a bit because I get over excited using the Wheel and it is quite easy to pull a wheelie without meaning to.

And of course when performing a wheelie you cannot steer so well.

I tried the wheel the first week last week, but I think I'll stick to the Wiimote + Nunchuck. It's more precise, and I just got tired of the wheel for some reason. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just that I prefer the analog stick. And yeah, the online is very addicting. I find my self playing longer than I intend to, especially when I lost a chunk of points at once...I get an incredible urge to get them all back XD.

Anyway way, we had some good races, Brawl4life!

yea some were very close 1 inch from the finish line I get hit bam blue shell you get first >.> That duck looking bike you got always crack me up when you pass by me hahaha. I added you rocketpig my code  0473-8169-6084

It's lots of fun I think. I'm not very good at it or brawl, but I can still have fun playing Mario kart while getting massacred in Brawl just isn't very fun to me. I use the wheel even though I'm not as good with it, just because I have more fun using it I suppose.

I'm addicted to that stupid wheel. You feel like an idiot holding it suspended in air, jeering left and right, but damn it's fun. The online is just as addictive, very neat and clean and there is literally 0 lag. If Brawl had been like this I wouldn't have left my house for 2 months. Now I have a reason not to.

I logged in just to see what all the fuss is about and now I know what you guys are talking about. I expected to race one or two times just before the Lakers game started and ended up missing the entire first half of the game.

I still think Nintendo's online system is pretty stupid but wow, this game is a lot of fun.

So I hope you join up to one of our Mario Kart leagues! ;) Red shell a mod, thats what I dream off at nights :P

Not if I red shell you first.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Try the wheel. I was sceptical at first, but now it's the only way I'll play it. After you get used to it you'll dig it too. I promise. Take the condom off. You won't catch anything. Man, that sounded gay.
