Ioi, I love your site, I stumbled upon it and quickly converted from Nexgenwars…this place has become a home for me while at work. Every day I get on and bring myself up to speed. And slowly but steadily I have been making a name for myself with perfectly caption pictures and near perfect spelling and grammar!

I know recent event have put a strain on certain members and thrown up many a wall in people minds and hearts. This is just wrong……..

I know you don’t want to lose members from your site , I wouldn’t have it any other way. In fact how you have handled this situation thus far only proves that you love what your working on and care to give us the best we can get from you. Thank you for that.

But I implore you to remember this….there is not a member of section eight that came from any other home then here. We are a family and with that fact we have to adjust at time to ideas, controversy, and growth. The people you are proposing to ban and the actions you are taking will lead to nothing but what your trying to prevent, the loss of good members

I understand that the way we let ourselves be found out was a little ….well just plain kiddish. But it was all meant to be in good fun.

I don’t think I am making myself clear but I cant think of how to say this other then,

We are a family, this shouldn’t be something tearing us apart but it is, please guys remember that we came from here, we still live here, and we still love here… this goes for everyone in this situation…

Yikes... I take the weekend off and We get here...? Sorry about all this ioi. I know that none of us were trying to leave this great site. I love it here at VGC, and I wouldn't leave it because of the friends I have. Section 8.1 is more like REALLY close friends about 20 of us regularly post, and I have gotten to know them all. I really like the closeness of that group, which I thankfully belong to. To me the best thing would be to pair down 8.1 to around the 20 regular members and stop recruiting. Though we didn't really recruit many people, just friends from around this site we would like to get to know better.

All s8.1 is to me is this: a place to gather with close friends and get to know each other in a much more close way. A way that I am not comfortable with on a bigger site. I choose my friends carefully and those members of 8.1 are great contributers to this site still. I am more than willing to leave that 8.1 if we can have memberships to clans here where the posts are hidden from about the other 20 members of the clan. I just want friends that I can trust with more personal information.

But I will submit myself to any decision you make. I believe that we have done nothing wrong, even now. Perhaps rude, but not wrong. Sorry for causing you a headache. Please bear us no ill will.

This is the first time I have been truly disgusted in reading a full thread. I cannot believe that I am actually being told where I can and cannot visit on the internet.

I have been a 100% vocal and loyal member of this site since December 2006. I have been banned once for something I completely disagreed with but, simply took it after a couple of minor PM's with ioi directly.

After my over 4500 posts on this site I think it should go without saying that I am not going anywhere more than this site. It should also be pretty obvious that I am a very sarcastic person and anytime I put some kind of obvious statement like a emoticon or lol in my posts then I am no where near serious. Yet you, ioi, quote me in regards to Soriku as if I was deliberately being mean or in any way actually disliked him. That is just bad on your part. You should definitely know me better than that. I formally request you remove my quote from your list of examples.

You do realize that you have hand-picked less than 1% of all posts on that site. That sure sounds like proof of S8's intentions of wanting to take down VGC to me.

After reading through this I tend to think that you are just being very childish. Even after accepting the personal invite to join, I have still posted here at least double that of there. I, as well as most S8 member, have had no intention of stopping from visiting here, unless of course you decide to ban us all out of your own .... actually I don't even know what to describe it as.

Basically, for me it comes down to this. I am a 32 year old man. I haven't had to listen to an ultimatum for over 17 years. I am not starting now. I can choose to go to any site/forum I want without your or anyone else's permission. If you choose to ban me from a site you own, then that is your right. But, I will go where I please.

I have never spoke negatively about this site or you until now. I had never even considered not coming to this site or not being able to come to this site until now. I have not broken a single rule on this site so as far as I can see you have no reason to ban me, or really anyone else based on this thread.

If this is my last post, then it was very nice knowing all of you. Just know that this was not my choice.

If you read the thread Superchunk we have found a compromise. The current group will be reduced to around 20 members since that's all that's anywhere near active anyway and that's a reasonable group of friends. There won't be anymore recruiting, and the site won't be used as a substitute for VGChartz. Just a place for a few friends to talk.

Kenzo and PDF have both agreed to this as has ioi. We can very easily end this peacefully, so please don't create an entirely new argument.  If we can just wait for Kenzo to hop back online and implement this we can all go on living our happy lives as friends.  

Alright I am implementing everything right now, I will post again when things are done.

Wow ... all this happened in one day :? Well bealive it or not Ive read the entire 3 pages and all I can say is WOW . Way to big deal for nothing . I still post as much as I used to on VGC the only diffrence is that I take a couple of minutes from my gaming time to post in the other one to .

ioi : I understand that you feel betrayed but I dont think that any of us are posting less on VGC . The only reason Im not as active as a couple of weeks ago is because I have to study ... a lot :( Your site is great , and I dont think that a private ( and no , elitist is such a harsh word for a group of friends IMO ) forum will do any harm to this great community ;)

OK its at 21 members and I have asked NAZ to help me clean thinks up, So hopefully by tommorrow everything will be kosher.
