"Some" functionalities of the Crystal Tools engine can run on the Wii...not the entire engine. And I wouldn't bank on some unknown licensee making the engine for the Wii....you know what happens when middleware comes into play with that engine? Too Human happens.

So it's not moot

Then how is the wii one of their main consoles, if they can't develop for it? What about their other wii games?

I dont know what system this is going n and I dont care. All I know is that this thread is full of speculation. I don't think they have decided which system to put it on yet.

 You are probably right. They probably didn't even decide yet.

#1 They never said it was their main console. #2 I never said they couldn't develop for it. It's just that everyone's using the "development costs" argument as a support for KH3 being on the Wii, but building engines costs money

I said one of their main consoles. They already have an engine for the wii obviously since they have games coming to the system.

No, they are making a proper Crystal Tools to run on the Wii and max good use of its capabilities.

@Onimusha

Well...besides sc and Sqrl :)

Link please, because everything that comes up when you search "Crystal Tools" and "Wii" only show how A. The engine mainly targets PS3, 360, and PC, and B. That the engine doesn't run properly/isn't 100% on the Wii

The reason I gave no evidence is because there really isnt any. This game can still go both ways, just like star ocean 4.

I agree that there is really no decisive evidence but rumors at this point.  But, from a business prospective it makes so much sense to go to the Wii.  Bigger user base and Disney characters are more in line with the Wii demographic.  Additionally, if it goes PS3 it won't be "the RPG" because the next FF will take that title on the PS3.  On the Wii, it'll be "the RPG".  Much like Capcom throwing RE on the gamecube.  It was actually a great idea because it was "the experience" for gamecube owners looking for either mature content or a survival horror.  On the PS2 it would have faced much stiffer competition.  That's all I have to say though, I own a PS3 and a Wii so I should be covered whichever way the wind blows.

How can the NEXT FF take that title away from KH, when chances are as soon as Nomura gets done with Versus, he'd be working on this? This game comes out after FF, not before.

I'm sure personal tastes vary, but when I look at the PS2, I see FF as "the RPG" experience.  KH was good, but not quite the same.  For the PS3, I see FF maintaining the title.  So its a PS3 owner deciding to buy FF or KH, versus a Wii owner which has the Tales title as the current RPG king.  I think KH could take that battle.  Sure personal tastes differ but I see KH as an also ran RPG on the PS3 whereas on the Wii it'll be the definative experience.  You guys act like the world thinks the Wii should get every exclusive, when honestly I just think someone has to give it a big one.  Monster Hunter is kind of there but really it is a Japan only title due to the drastic popularity difference between continents.

I've just realized.....this is going nowhere. You're not going to convince me it's going to Wii, and I'm not going to convince you it's going to the PS3. Too many times has this thread gone off topic, slowly got back on track, only to get derailed again. And the kicker is that this is all speculation. I have my reasons for believing it will go one way, and the rest of you have yours. Good day, I won't bother you again in this thread

 Then like I keep saying and you keep ignoring they could use the FFCC:CB engine.

But by the time they start working on KH3 the CT for the Wii will be long finished.

@BMaker

Agree. This thread IS going nowhere X_X Also, I think this thread should be stickied, so we don't have any more "Where will KH3 go?" threads.

PLEASE SE/Disney, just announce the game already so we don't have to argue anymore! I'm going to be so happy when its announced. No more arguing over this!
Yes this thread must be stickied. So if anybody has the urge to post in it they can, but not make a new thread to start the people who said what they had to say  already active.

Mods could this get a stiky like soriku said.
