How about I bring this into the mix. The only engines that SE are using are there proprietary engine, Crystal Tools, and UE3. BOTH of which can't run on the Wii, and if they did, the system would explode. Do you expect them to make ANOTHER engine just for KH3 Wii?

You guys keep talking about development costs, so it should be on the Wii.....what about making a completely new engine? Would THAT be worth it, instead of using an engine that you already have?

MH is an exception. MH is a game that needs graphics and bigger space on handhelds. I made a thread asking since MH3 is on the Wii, will MHF3 be on the DS and people said no because MHF needs graphics and a big disc for environment and such. Capcom probably thinks the same way.

So because it proves I point I made, it's an exception? Whatever, you say that this is a game that needs graphics and space, right? So why make it a Wii game, instead of a PS3 one?

And in response to your other post. You say no one cares about what Nomura says.....I sure do, because he's the one making the game.

Dude, the DS is a weak system. The PSP is a lot stronger than it. Would you rather see MH in good 3D, or sprites? The DS isn't a strong enough system for MH. The Wii, on the other hand, IS. The Wii is perfectly capable of handling big environments and good graphics. One of the Capcom emplyees saw a NON-FINAL build of MH3 and said it looked "amazing." There is a difference between the DS and PSP and the Wii and PS3.
You might be exaggerating a bit though on the ds though. The ds is more capable graphically than the n64 which was more capable than the ps1. There definately wouldn't 2d sprites, but the games already have a standard ont he psp, and do downgrade people would bitch. The only game I have seen that downgraded drastically, but nobody is bitching about is DQIX.

The reason I gave no evidence is because there really isnt any. This game can still go both ways, just like star ocean 4.

I agree that there is really no decisive evidence but rumors at this point.  But, from a business prospective it makes so much sense to go to the Wii.  Bigger user base and Disney characters are more in line with the Wii demographic.  Additionally, if it goes PS3 it won't be "the RPG" because the next FF will take that title on the PS3.  On the Wii, it'll be "the RPG".  Much like Capcom throwing RE on the gamecube.  It was actually a great idea because it was "the experience" for gamecube owners looking for either mature content or a survival horror.  On the PS2 it would have faced much stiffer competition.  That's all I have to say though, I own a PS3 and a Wii so I should be covered whichever way the wind blows.

How can the NEXT FF take that title away from KH, when chances are as soon as Nomura gets done with Versus, he'd be working on this? This game comes out after FF, not before.

Crystal Tools, has been ported to the wii, and UE3 is in the process. Even if they didn't they could use the engine that they are using for this game.

Weren't you here for GDC when the Crystal Tools was said to be worked on the Wii? Also, a Wii UE3 is being made (not by Epic though). But SE said their future games will rely on the Crystal Tools, so this argument is moot.

Not to mention that his statement is incorrect , because there is the game FFCC which unless it uses crystal tools it is some other engine. Oh and if they had this problem, then why would they say the wii is one of their main systems. Just so they could then later say oh we can't develop for the wii because it doesn't have our engines.

Lolz, of course they would.

"Some" functionalities of the Crystal Tools engine can run on the Wii...not the entire engine. And I wouldn't bank on some unknown licensee making the engine for the Wii....you know what happens when middleware comes into play with that engine? Too Human happens.

So it's not moot

Soriku, you're treading down a path that we your Nintendo peers cannot follow. You are on your own my friend.

I don't think the DS is stronger than the N64. PS1 levels though. Show me a game that's better than Majora's Mask.
I explain it in this thread. http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=26335

I dont know  what system this is going n and I dont care. All I know is that this thread is full of speculation. I don't think they have decided which system to put it on yet.
