Wow the Capcom VP really isn't good at his job at all haha.

Did anyone really expect Okami Wii to sell even remotely well? I know I didn't... It seems even Capcom concedes that it ain't doing superbly at this point.

I don't know i'd consider "hitting our expectations" good.  Not quite a runaway success like say Umbrella Chronicles, or RE4, but we'll see.  Maybe Europe and Japan will pick it up.

Even if it's close to 80K when you add in Europe and Japan sales it should be fairly close to that 270K number

They probably didn't even ship that many copies anyways. Doesn't sound like 'Sven' cares much about its success anyways. But if its meeting his expectations, whatever. Maybe this game will get a surge at the end of the month (DOUBT IT). It did launch kinda close to GTA4 & MKWii.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

well, people have to take into account, that the first version of Ôkami didn't sell well, so shops might've been cautious of this one and ordered low quantities - don't underestimate that influence, because capcom just can't ship more copies than are ordered by retailers

i wonder how much they sell??im sure thats not 1million

I was hearing guesses here of 300k, 600k, 1 million, but now those amounts don't seem very likely.

300k is very well possible, why would it seem unlikely? It isn't even released in Japan and the PAL regions yet.

300k seems very likely, but I should have been more clear by saying the latter 2 amounts weren't very likely. Also, how well can we expect Okami Wii to sell in Japan and PAL? The first Okami was incredibly unpopular in PAL, and as for Japan, I'm not sure how well Wii owners will respond to a port of a game with barely any new features. Also remember that a lot of Japanese Wii owners are very casual, and a lot of them were likely PS2 owners that have already played the game.

that wasn't the best time to release such a game!

i mean, trying to sell, 2 weeks after Mario Kart, Wii Fit and GTA IV, the expectations should have been even lower!! :P

Dang, and I was set my standards really high and said that the numbers weren't even good enough.

*Sobs*

Oh beautiful Amaterasu, you don't deserve this!

*laughs at Montana*

Okami sucks!

*giggles*

Ehh, a lot of people think pissing me off is the most hilarious thing in the world.

But you're a cynic of everything, so I forgive you.

Heheheh, I couldn't resist. I actually really like Okami. It's one of the better games I have played in the last few years.

I heart Capcom.
