Forums - Gaming - GTA IV, Should you buy? Reasons

So, this is for anyone who says this isn't there type of game or is against GTA IV... Or for the GTA Fans out there.

The Info

Grand Theft Auto IV/4 is a sandbox-style Action Game developed by Rockstar North. GTA IV is the ninth game in the series. Released WW on the 29th April apart from Japan, I haven't found a date of release for it YET. The game is set in a re-imagined Liberty City, a fictional city based heavily on modern day New York City. It follows Niko Bellic, a Serbian veteran of the Bosnian war, Yes - Niko is a Serb, Not a Russian. NB has come to Liberty City to 'Live the American Dream' with his Cousin, Roman Bellic. On Arrival, Niko departs from the boat and Roman makes his first appearance - drunk.

The Plot, Basically the same as the Info, I Think...

Niko Bellic is a Serbian immigrant who is thirty years of age and a veteran of the Bosnian war. He has come to Liberty City to pursue the American Dream. Niko was persuaded to move to Liberty City by his cousin Roman, who had claimed in multiple e-mails to Niko that he was living a fabulous life, with a mansion, women, hot tubs and sports cars. he only owns a small taxi business and is in serious debt with local gang bosses, which he manages to resolve by enlisting Niko's help.

Developers: Rockstar North

Publishers: Rockstar Games, Capcom in Japan

Platforms: X360, PS3

Genre: Third-Person Shooter, Action

No1 reason: Its fun, and you can play it in a lot of different ways. FUN FUN FUN.

Story-Blow shit up-Taxi missions/other side missions.

Tease.

A great game well worth checking out providing you have enough time to play it.

I rate the game 9.5 out of 10.  Gameplay is brilliant, lots of hours of gaming, online play and lots of thing to do in the game.It is worth buying if you are either a PS3 or 360 owner. Only low points are frame rates and graphics are not top notch.

From my brief experience (didn't get to do multi/did very little of the story), this game was a 9.5/10. It gets this primarily by the amount of time you can play.

the content in game is worth the admission alone either on ps3 and 360.

it features a living city with so many things to do, in fact ive only got upto the bit where mr F send you to kill them bikers, the rest im just messing around the city

online is also decent but single player deathmatch is boring

its a fantastic game although the reviews were clearly riding on hype its a 9.5/10 for sure

*Edited for spoilers*

I rented it and really enjoyed it. I'll most likely buy it when it hits $30-$40.

Demon's Souls Official Thread  | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka

I really don't care about the graphics, pop-in, framerate, etc., as just about EVERY OTHER GRAND THEFT AUTO GAME EVER MADE HAS THESE PROBLEMS!

So, while it may not be deserving of a 10/10, it doesn't mean that it isn't an essential buy for any fan of the series. I plan to get it with my PS3.
