This is what I think on the graphics.
FXIII>Killzone 2>Gears 2>Resistance 2
It's close though.



With FF XIII, we have very little idea of how it is going to look until we actually see it running real time

 The trailer had some real time in I  think. If not it's pre-rendered ingame, and if guerrilla could make killzone 2 look the way it did when pre-rendered, square enix definately could.

Me too. Gears2 graphics are close to killzone 2 , but not anywhere near that of the FFXIII trailer.

 



A bit weird talking about graphics in a gameplay thread, but I think Killzone 2 nailed the lighting really well, the PS3 is showing movie and lighting effects well, but in terms of crisper, sharper and fluid textures, the 360 and Gears 2 wins. Its almost like comparing a plasma versus an LCD lol. We havent really seen much gameplay video from FF13 and R2, so its all up in the air really. I dont think R2 will be much different from R1 since the developers are focusing on co-op and multiplayer.

Gameplay wise, Gears 1 is already proven and is extremely fun to play and some gameplay mechanices are making its way into games today. K2's graphics are good, but gameplay wise will have to wait till it comes out. Although Gears looked super amazing back in 2006, I still waited for reviews before I bought a 360.



It seems the chainsaw battles are just mashing the B button, which isnt all that great. But then again, I dont want it to be too complicated as this would interrupt the flow of the action.
