Valve delayed Half-Life 2 after their servers were hacked, IIRC.

So, still no word on how the game actually plays, which is where KZ ran offthe rails in the first place.

Whoever made this could have used a different screenshot from the new trailer in the first row. The new trailer has a very good looking, though short, shot of somebody on fire.

I think a fire 05 vs fire 08 would have been better since the screenshot used in that row was motion blurred (around the 50 to 52 second mark in the new trailer, a shell goes off near a guy and he falls over with his back on fire).

Anyway, it's looking good.

Yea, the old footage is said to be impossible and was still considered to be impossible at the last big Killzone 2 showing (E3 07). Now, I think that some things in the CGI trailer were a little too detailed and might not be able to be done, but they've gotten the game to look pretty darn good since that CGI trailer. 

In my opinion the right hand pictures look better. Its a shame I am not into FPS, although I really liked the Haze demo so maybe I will like this.

 The ones on the left were from a fake "in-game" movie shown at E3 years back when Sony claimed it was all in-game and they got torn apart on it.  Ever since they've been playing catchup trying to get the game to look as good as they were pretending it looked back then.

I don't really care for MGS4.  I was actually considering seeing if I could find somebody looking to buy the game and I just buy the bundle and get a cheaper 80 gig after selling them the game. 

The pics show what they've done SO FAR.  It'll get better in some ways, no doubt.

Just ecause the data could be lost doesn't mean they haven't created the graphics they've created. 

Back to constructive shit: Goddamn, I'm impressed w/ KZ2 from what I've seen.

Huh? I wasn't talking about the images being touched up. I was just saying that instead of using that image, another image could have been used from the trailer to compare the guy on fire in the 05 footage with a guy on fire in the new trailer.

Yea, I've noticed improved fire and textures right away and I'd really like to see what the dropship that gets shotdown in the 07 build (which looked rather ugly) would look like in the current build. The explosions have also improved, but I'm not seeing that cool effect in the (grenade) explosions that was in the E3'07 build though. You know, those swarming embers or whatever they are?
