God I hope this is as good as Socom II.   It's looking pretty good, and it looks like the maps will be a lot bigger.  Anybody interested in this one?  I'm very interested in it. 

Which was one of the biggest problems with S3 (for me).  I'm hopeful, but the fact that the maps are designed for 32, and that any map can be used for any game mode is disheartening.  While I doubt it will happen, I hope they also tone down the weapon customization, I liked how in S1/2 only a few guns could have a silencer or a scope.  They should get rid of 203's/RPG's as well.

Graphics look very poor in my opinion, especially after how long they have spent on this game.

I've never played SOCOM online, but I heard it was the best thing about the series. Graphic wise, it looks alright. It keeps looking better. I'm buying it because I want to see if it is as good as everyone makes it out to be, and I need a headset.

Really?  I know they're not pushing limits but bad?  I assume you're citing the picture with the bike, but I don't think it's that bad.  I mean, it's pretty detailed for a small bike that you won't looka at twice in the game.  Bit harsh, no?

Yea,  and just look at the walls surrounding it too and the boxes, it looks like a PS2 game.

Socom 2 was one of the greatest shooters I had the pleasure of playing.  It was so good, it just played so well, and addicting.......  When you play that you'll see that PS2's internet was not bad at all.  So much fun.

What are these SOCOM games about? Kinda like Splinter Cell?

looks superb actually, its like warhawk in a way, online only

it will be download or bluray, so obviously they couldnt make a game with loads of textures on lets say a dvd size, how could they make it a 8gig download lol.

for what it is, a budgety priced type of title like warhawk, it looks promising

i expect this to be a blast online

They're tactical shooters, in single player you command a 4 man team rather than just one man in Splinter Cell.  A 4 man team goes behind enemy lines stealthily eliminating the enemy.  So in that respect, kind of like splinter cell.  It's faster and customization of weapons and such is pretty good.  I want to call it almost like a third person Call of Duty, but that might be pushing it.  Oh and if you get shot once or twice you die.  Stealth is very important.  Teamwork, online or in single player is key, if you don't work together you will have a very difficult time.  The online, especially for Socom II, is one of the greatest online games I've ever played, rivaling COD 4 in my opinion.
