You can build $500 PC that will play Crysis on High Settings, much better than PS3 and 360 ever could
Not likely. Not when it came out not even now. Someone in this thread said that Call of Duty4 looked better on PC than on 360 (or PS3 I suppose).
http://www.pcgameshardware.de/?article_id=630033The answer is: Yes it does but the difference is so small that you most likely won't notice it while playing. Some shadows and textures are more detailled, some effects nicer. But overall you get comparable graphics on a 200$ 360 or a 400$ PS3 with included BluRay player (I suppose PS3 and 360 are identical) as on a PC with a 300$ graphic card. The biggest difference seems to be that the PS3 version has higher brightness.
In the end you get awesome and only 3 years ago unthinkable graphics on PS3, 360 and PC. Call of Duty looks SO great on all three of these. Yes a highend PC is the most powerful of the three but the other two provide great graphics as well.
