Crysis has the best graphics.

I win this thread.

"Coolest feature we have in the game." LOL!

I played crysis on my mates SLI tech twin carded pc. With Quad core. And it defiately doesnt look this good.

Because it probably can't play Crysis on Very High settings. You can't even play Very High with a good framerate with Triple SLI Geforce 8800 Ultras.

the problem is it costs thousands of dollars for PC.

anyways, it looks like a cool game. I like the fact you can do it how you want, sneaky or full on assault. its big.

You can build $500 PC that will play Crysis on High Settings, much better than PS3 and 360 ever could.

Anyway, from the vids Far Cry 2 doesn't seem to look as good as Crysis.

Well, consider that the 360 and PS3 have 512MB of total memory (You can get it for about $10/GB if you watch for deals, so gamer PCs will usually have 4GB).  And consider that the graphics card in the PS3, for example, is a mid-range Geforce 7600 comperable GPU.

So it's *freakin'* slow by today's measure.  Even cheap video cards these days would be much, much faster.

Thought Far Cry wasn't a Crytek game? Don't UBI own the rights and didn't they develop this sequel without Crytek??

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Not likely. Not when it came out not even now. Someone in this thread said that Call of Duty4 looked better on PC than on 360 (or PS3 I suppose).

The answer is: Yes it does but the difference is so small that you most likely won't notice it while playing. Some shadows and textures are more detailled, some effects nicer. But overall you get comparable graphics on a 200$ 360 or a 400$ PS3 with included BluRay player (I suppose PS3 and 360 are identical) as on a PC with a 300$ graphic card. The biggest difference seems to be that the PS3 version has higher brightness.

In the end you get awesome and only 3 years ago unthinkable graphics on PS3, 360 and PC. Call of Duty looks SO great on all three of these. Yes a highend PC is the most powerful of the three but the other two provide great graphics as well.

If this is the same type of "sandbox" as Crysis, I'll stay well clear of it.

If you're gonna count PC games, then Crysis still takes the cake, imo.

And I say PC games because Far Cry 2 won't look like that on consoles.

FarCry 2 looks incredible. And even better, this will be a true sand-box game, not a fake one like Cryis.

The hole in my wallet just keeps getting larger! :S

Am I the only one on the page that doesn't see the whole amazing graphics thing? After seeing so much footage behind MGS4, Killzone 2, Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, that supposed Grid footage (demo looks nothing like that sadly x.x), and all these big hitting titles, this looks kinda bland :x And if we think this is running on one of those sick PC's well then flat out call me un-impressed :/ I mean I guess it's pretty good for a sandbox game, but amazing isn't quite what I'd call this. Maybe it's the complete lack of amazing effects that's killing it for me, I dunno.
