Forums - General - Do you smoke pot?

Glad to see that the pot smokers stepped up in this thread and represented. I'm not a pot smoker but I'm mature enough to realize that it's not nearly as bad as "they" try to make it out to be, if at all. I know many people from all walks of life that are regular smokers. Some function perfectly and have good jobs, families, lifes. Others don't. I don't think the pot is a factor one way or another.

All you Netflix users, pot smokers and non-pot smokers, should check out the documentary The Union:Business Behind Getting High. It's available for instant viewing, some good shit.

Hey Dr. Grass, nice work with the pwning!

I'm not saying this because of the complement...

That's a really nice post and exactly what I like to see from non smokers - balanced, fair and realistic. Now that someone's being respectful I'm able to give the other side too: Yes, it makes me a little slow and sometimes quite lazy, yes I would probably be more productive if I didn't blaze up every day. This is a trade-off I'm more than willing to make for the pleasure of smoking, so let me enjoy it mkay

I'll check out the doccy, but maybe I'll try and get through my exams first...

How's this for a pwning example:

I was just sitting typing the above message and I noticed a familiar smell in the air...It was my wife smoking a little joint. She's been smoking for over 10 years. Has a Bachelors in International translation (cum laude) and just finished her Masters in Religion and Culture (specifically on Capoeira if you guys know what that is). She speaks 5 languages fluently and is learning 2 more. Her Afrikaans is getting pretty good.

So there's an example of a good person with a healthy set of achievements that also smokes more pot than anyone who ever met her would guess... I'm so proud of her

No, I don't even drink caffeine.

That's cool. I went almost 4 years without any alcahol, caffeine, chocolate, weed, pain pills etc. al. Also no meat (I'm actually still a vegetarian) and no women. Point is, I can respect it if you tell me that intoxicants are bad when you yourself don't take any.

If however, someone who drinks coca cola or someone who takes prescribed meds or even someone who has the occasional beer talk about the negative health impact weed has, or...

If someone who has alcahol regularly start talking about how 'drugs are bad',

then its clear to me that they are just plain ignorant of what they do to themselves on a daily basis and even more ignorant of the real physiological effects of marijuana.

Ok, how about we cure some cancer:

Here's more:
Also, that wine argument is flawed since wine is good and bad for you. It's just that the good outweighs the bad when taken in moderation. Importantly, the benefits are mainly due to the high level of antioxidants in the wine. These you can get from many other sources, so there's no real argument that wine is good for you. Besides, almost no-one never drinks more than a glass per day.

Have I posted here before? Oh well, that's what weed will do to ya, make you forgetful :P

I use to, but I no longer have the means or the money to. Plus I'm looking for a job now and they aren't exactly cool about that sorta thing..

Look what I found on an educational website with trivia questions and facts:

''Fact 16 - Marijuana is more physically addictive than heroin''

LMAO.

This is what children are being taught. Why not just be honest with them. Another South Park episode comes to mind now...

I started smoking pot at the end of the 1st year of university (I just finished my 3rd year) and like most things, it comes down to moderation. I did however find that school did seem less stressful and I was actually better organized after I started smoking it. Funny enough I just had the best academic year of my life and that was when I increased my smoking.

However, I only do it alone when I'm at home for several reasons. I don't want to drive impaired, gaming High is awesome, and I like to be alone with my thoughts when I'm that way. On average I think I smoke a spliff 2-3 times a month.

Also, I've only gotten drunk once in my life (My 20th Birthday last year) and I did more damage to myself and others than I ever did High. I chipped a tooth, tried jumping out of a hotel window and punched my best friend in the face. If you claim people who smoke pot are morons or idiots and you drink alcohol you're a hypocrite.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
