ima compair what vgcharts says and what sony says i hope its closse ill get back at you guys in a few minutes whit my number(vgchartz) what do you guysd think about 50m shiped! cool huh it will probly be 58 when the full gt5 comes out! or even 60m!

Thats is bloody close. Wow.

Take into account GTHD and GT5P online sales and VGC are pretty much dead on the mark.

 I don't think online sales is what they mean when they say "shipped", perhaps i'm wrong though... either way, vgc numbers are probably dead on, or a bit over, as there is no way all but 1.57mil copies have been sold for all versions

 Well I assume that by now all copies of GT, GT2 and a huge majority of GT3 and GT4 have sold. The only game really still selling will be GT5P.

 Yeah right I do not agree with bolded part. VGChartz are not that accurate accounting for the older consoles & games that is, pre-PS2 days. Where are the PC game numbers? Very incomplete PC Game list on VGChartz.

So you ignore the fact that the numbers themselves are extremely close to the press release data (if you compare the games individually the are also pretty much exact for all but one game (taking information from the press release);
