Take into account GTHD and GT5P online sales and VGC are pretty much dead on the mark.

I don't think online sales is what they mean when they say "shipped", perhaps i'm wrong though... either way, vgc numbers are probably dead on, or a bit over, as there is no way all but 1.57mil copies have been sold for all versions

Yeah right I do not agree with bolded part. VGChartz are not that accurate accounting for the older consoles & games that is, pre-PS2 days. Where are the PC game numbers? Very incomplete PC Game list on VGChartz.

So you ignore the fact that the numbers themselves are extremely close to the press release data (if you compare the games individually the are also pretty much exact for all but one game (taking information from the press release);
