Just the fact that so many of you are so quick to swallow the "fact" that MS owns Cnet -despite the fact that cnet is an independent company with its own stock and that it routinely destroys MS products like Vista and the like in favor of Apple- show how blindly some will swallow any bit of fanboy rumor as fact. This applies to the 360 and Wii fanboys too.

All 3 consoles are good. That is good for all gamers. Get over it. See sig.

Seriously, these claims that the 360 has the strongest library and better online service really need to stop because 1) there is no objective standard of comparison for which games are better or for which online service is better. As a matter of fact, most gamers could not care less about Xbox Live or online gameplay in general.

Gamerankings and metacritic (and other ranking sites) don't mean shit. The quality of a game is completely subjective depending on who's playing it. Some people might think the 360 library is the best ever whereas others think it's coma-inducing.

 

That survey means nothing either, because if it's online service were indeed the best, then it shouldn't be last place in sales for the past 6 months, now should it? There's also the fact  that only a third of its userbase even has a gold account.

That's OK Crazzyman. I realize you didn't understand a word I said. I am one of your ex-PS2 users that you are counting on to flock to the PS3. Well, stop counting, we're not coming. And I don't think you will ever really get why.

See here's your basic problem. To make games that challenge and entertain veteran hardcore gamers means making them virtually inaccessible to the new or more recreational (casual if you must) gamer. If you make games simple enough to attract the new and more casual gamer the veteran gamers will find them not challenging enough or interesting. Nintendo created a whole new system so everyone started from the beginning and they used very simple games to get them onboard, Wii Sports for example. Did you ever notice that there is no Wii Sports 2 or Wii Play 2? Never will be, at least not made by Nintendo. There's a lot of half baked mini-game wantabees made by desperate publishers trying to tap into a market they don't understand. Nintendo is already gradually moving their users up-market towards more complex and sophisticated games. They know exactly what and when they are doing everything. It's a strategy they announced back in 2004 only nobody was listening. All the industry "experts" had already dismissed them as a factor. When high definition graphics are truly mainstream, guess what? The processor and video processors will be so cheap they will be able to replace them, with total backward compatibility, and still keep their cost down and profitability up.Ah the hell with it, you're not going to understand this either. Trying to explain it is a little like trying to teach a pig to sing. "It's a waste of time and it annoys the pig." this guys is a complete idiot. he really sounds professional when he says like 1 of the ps3 exclusives out of a huge list, then goes onto say the 360 line up is better but doesnt even list a single game!!! what a complete idiot! i looked at his other articles, of course the top one on the list... is bluray dead? come on! how can people like this even be allowed to be on the internet! honestly i feel like this world has gone down the shitter!

HAHAHAHA you think I give a fuck what some dude I've never spoken to before thinks about games?

The only thing that matters is my opinion. not an "industry" so dont throw that desprate bullshit at me. and In my opinon the games I listed rank higher than the 360 games.

Viva Pinata - Incredibly annoying.
Halo - Whats that? starcraft FPS? NO WAI!
Crackdown - I found myself climbing ferris wheels and staying in the off road arena rather than completing the game.
Gears of War - Overrated. Weak story. 4 on 4 multiplayer. Small maps. Not only was it a weak story but it did not explain a god damn thing. Being left out in the dark is fine... unless it's something really big being left out.
Shadow Run - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA < enough said
Hell Raising - Fun for 30 minutes. Had the same problem as crack down. I found myself doing ridiculous things with zombies than finishing the game.
Bioshock - just wasn't for me
Mass Effect - Doesn't interest me < I'll admit this is a game on my list that I havent played yet.

I think the only game I finished on my list was Gears of War... Now tell me that those games are triple A's for me.

I'm not starcraft. I'm not YOU! I don't get brainwashed from a company because they are force feeding me garbage and telling me I SHOULD like it. I'm not gonna allow something I don't like forced down my throat and then with a smile on my face ask for seconds just because it's expensive gourmet cooking that all the people who are somebody's has to like (I'll keep my hot dogs over caviar any day). NO THANK YOU I HAVE A BRAIN! "Hey cool Microsoft crippled me and I cant walk anymore! What's this Microsoft? Crutches? No way! I needed these ever since you broke my legs! Thank you so much!!!!!
