Forums - Nintendo - My first brief impression of the "Nintendo Channel" – What are yours?

My wireless connection is dicey, so I got tired of bad streaming and deleted the channel. If I had a DS I might be tempted to keep it, but videos are all over the internet and I'm going to need all the space I can get for WiiWare in a few days.

My impression is that Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword is pretty damn sweet. I might just be picking it up in the future.

Ya thats the one I tried, I was thinking the same, pretty good game.

I thought it was interesting, but I'm not sure how much I am going to actually use it. Time will tell whether I ditch the internet for learning about games I might like in favor of this channel (I suspect not). I also rated a couple of games, but I'm not sure I really like the options that are given to you catagorize the game.

I don't really care about the Nintendo Channel actually.

Yeah, I just find it a waste of 100+ blocks (?)............. so far.

I'm annoyed that I can't recommend No More Heroes to anyone. I'd like to see some 3rd party love going on with this thing.

Agreed. I was wondering why my Trauma Center playtime wasn't counting. I forgot about NHM and a couple of others. Looks like Nintendo still doesn't care about third parties. Their system is selling with or without it. Searching by recommended games doesn't seem to be working yet, either. I get no results when I choose any option. That was the thing I was most interested in. It would help in determining what people think "casual" means. Also, I laughed when I saw the info video about the channel and they choose "casual" for Galaxy and then more fun to play with friends. Good stuff. I understand having a DS would make those demos a lot more fun, but how about some Wii demos? Some of them would surely fit, and the could require SD cards for larger ones. Overall, it's long overdue. The other systems get videos and a lot of other stuff every week. It'll be interesting to see how long it takes Nintendo to catch up. Some third party love and Wii demos would be nice.
