Yeah, I got VC the same time I got Demon's Souls. Was about on the way of getting my DS plat when my PS3 broke down.

Lost all DS data and had to wait almost a month to get my PS3 repaired. Started DS all the way again until I got my plat, but at that time, I had recieved Uncharted 2 for christmas too.

Decided to give Uncharted 2 a go before VC, because of it being the shorter game. I found out that the plat for Uncharted 2 was really easy to get, and in a week I got it. It was only then that I started VC, a couple of weeks ago.

With both Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2 and VC in the past months, this has been the best gaming period that i've ever had on my PS3.

This will probably be the first PS3 game I pick up.

Let's see if my Fire Emblem training has prepared me t all.....

Okay obviously I may be in the wrong thread for this question, but I am trying to make a decision between getting

Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn
Battalion Wars 2
or Valkyria Chronicles

Anyone want to give me advice/opinions?

I can't give you recommendations about the quality of the games, but Radiant Dawn has been discontinued and is going to get much harder to find soon. Pick it up if you can, it's going to get expensive unless there's a Player's Choice version.

Alternatively:

Valkyria Chronicles can be found brand new for twenty bucks, it's a pretty easy buy

Well, VC is much more streamlined than Fire Emblem.

You'll find some mechanics odd, like the ability to move more than once with each unit, and the fact that each move feels like an action game. Plus level up is not handled individually, instead you level up each individual job.

While I didn't find VC nowhere near the difficulty of Fire Emblem games, some maps can be a tough cookie when it comes to getting A, the max rank.

But where it trully shines is once you finish it and unlock the Hard Skirmishes. Those really give FE maps a run for their money when it comes to difficulty.

Also, does anyone remember that 300 page, hard cover art book?

Yeah, it's out with no media coverage what so ever. It's also sold out or back-ordered everywhere.

I am now on mission six.

This is a very fun game, but not an especially good anime - I hate cute animal companions who are there just to be cute. "Moink moink" indeed! The pacing of it is kind of off - it feels like the cutscene segments last nearly as long as the missions do, even before factoring in all of the army-arranging stuff in the base (which I don't mind doing).

Yes I know I could skip the cutscenes, but I don't like to.

Anyway yes this gamei s very fun. Do missions get longer and more involved over time?

Khuutra would you mind comparing your thoughts on this and fire emblem for me? I still can't decide which to get haha

Do you like board-based strategy games or tactical shooters?
