Ugh, those DVD's are nice but they are so expensive. With how expensive a normal BluRay movie I can only imagine how expensive those will.

Criterion has also promised to market these Blu-ray titles at a price equivalent to that of their standard definition counterparts.

Albeit we won't know exactly what that means until these things get some MSRP's behind them, but I think Criterion understands that not price-gouging their fans is a good way to get them to rebuy some of these titles in Blu-Ray.

See, the way I read this is that they'll scale up the price proportionally to the DVD price.  Aren't Criterion DVD's something like$34.99 (it has been a while since I looked at them)?

So if your average DVD is $19.99 and your Criterion DVD is $34.99 then your average BD movie is $29.99 then your Criterion BD could be up to $50.  I hope I'm just misunderstanding that quote but I am willing to get they are going to be more expensive then your normal BD movies.

Around the Network

Keep in mind that Criterion also supported LaserDisc, so this isn't too surprising.

Still, I also shudder to think how expensive these will be...

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Oh shit, The Man Who Fell to Earth on Blu-Ray?

I... whoa... what the...

Fuck.

This is the closest I've ever been to buying a PS3.

Good thing I can't afford one. I'm broke as a hell.

Gotta love Bowie in a role so entirely creepy that I don't think anyone else could have played it. Weird fuckin' movie.

As for the rest of those movies... Not so much. We really need some more premiere titles on Blu-ray.
