You obviously know what's going on in the world.

I'm curious... Where do you live SSj12? I'm assuming a small town. If not, then obviously I'm wrong.

And from where do you draw your extensive knowledge of the world?

I'm not saying that you are wrong though, the US I've seen is very diverse.

Beware, I live!

At least 62 million Wii sold by the end of 09 or my mario avatar will get sad

All satire is based on real life phenomenon/observations, so GTA is largely built up on the biggest and most prevalent of such in its day.
That said; GTA IV, especially some of the promo trailers drew it a lot further than previous games in the series, but this is probably Rockstar making a statement.
It was for all the Jack Thompson supporters and game haters, and I think R* knows (and we know) that what is fucking up the US (and the world at large) is people like Thompson and co sporting centuries old rhetoric and using medieval witch hunting methods daily and openly.
These are the individuals who drag us through the shit, and the best thing is to simply ignore them when they moan.
After all; "Don't wrestle a pig in a pit if mud, you'll both get filthy but the pig likes it."

This is true, because I saw a car the other day swerve a little in the road, then it spontaneously flipped a few times because cars in America like to spontaneously flip like in GTA4. But they usually roll back onto their wheels after a while. And if you are on the side, you can hit the throttle and turn the front wheels for a while and you'll get back in driving position.

Kyros, thanks for explanation! thats bull shit then about hillary. does the general public not know about all of her flip flopping ways or does she have something that obama does not have?(political views wise) i wish i was older around the time we went into iraq so i could have my facts straight. most people dont pay attention to that stuff in middle school! and now there are to many different takes on the situation i cant make my mind up! i used to think bush was an ok guy but if it does turn out that we went to war just for oil thats going to suck. there are good things that have come out of the war in iraq im assuming but why doesnt anyone every talk about them? btw, obamas got my vote, well i miss the election by less than a month!

I don't feel like the game is criticizing so much as trying to point out some the flaws of our society.

They clearly take a shot at reality shows with their constant advertising in the game radio for 'American Next Top Hooker'.

There are jabs at rising health costs and pharmacetical companies ( there's a show on radio in GTA4 where a HMO guy explains that's it's not because you have insurance that you have to use it !).

There are jabs at many conservative radio shows too.

All in all not surprising at all and kinda amusing provided you are not a conservative...
