Gears 2, Resistance 2, and Socom: Confrontation certainly provide for an action packed fourth quarter as it is, so this makes sense.  I know many here were wondering where'd they'd fit Killzone 2 in with Socom hitting in September and Resistance hitting in November. 

Plus, now they have an extra few months to polish the game. :)

Yeah, the delay is fine. Launching in-between this already thick shooter fray would have proved devastating for sales.

Gears, Socom, and R2 should keep shooter fans happy without KZ2 crowding the market. And now Killzone gets it's own little window of time to shine

i think they need to do more than polishing, the news about help for the AI of the game is not polishing

The same with Alone in the dark and MGS4... I don't blame the publishers for thinking that way. they are in it for the money after all..

yea thay have more time too make the game prefect mabby the online play will be flawless!

thats gay they'd delay it b/c of gears of war 2.

I can understand because of Socom/Resistance 2 because theres no use having 3 amazing shooter titles around the same time competing for sales...

but don't you want competition for Gears 2?? I'm just glad resistance 2 will be against Gears 2.

Microsoft put out Gears 1 the same week the PS3 launched for some competition.

I meant the delay from October-ish to Februrary would give them more time for polish.  That extra 4-5 months will give them time to give the game an extra coat of shine.

 Gears 2 was just the one specific example that GameSpot provided. 

and it is more time to work up awareness of the game to the mass user base of the PS3.
I want to see Halo 3 like marketing for KZ2.
Sony has already sunk so much money into it.. Might as well go all out!

As long as its not the new Duke Nuke 'Em Forever, I won't bitch about it. I actually have very high hopes for this title!
