Forums - Nintendo - Killer 7 is really creepy.

I got a good deal on Killer 7 a couple weeks ago... and i put it in my Wii for the first time today.

I gotta say it's the second creepiest game i've ever played... and i haven't even gotten past the first level Infact it's only the second game that's ever creeped me out.

The only thing creepier to me are those daemons in eternal darkness that inhabit peoples bodies. I mean the best way I can think to explain those Heaven's Smile guys are invisible cyberpunk zombies with bombs in their chest that laugh like the joker.

The getting used to the different control setup and somewhat hard aiming makes it even creepier as until I got used to it often times i'd miss a couple shots before hitting...

This game is awesome though.  Just like No More Heroes it's a pretty crazy expierence.  I can see why people like it so much.

Yeah,

Suda blew it with the controls in K7, but the game is so over the top (in a good way). Not for everyone for sure, but I'm glad I experienced it for sure.

Eternal Darkness is a great game as well. Unique idea done really well. Amazingly enough it was originally designed for the N64.

Have you played Beyond Good & Evil? If you are playing great Cube games you should include that one. It's not as adult as the above two, but one of the best from the Cube days.

BAM! There it is!

Wii Code 3456 7941 4060 2924
COD MW Reflex 541192229709

Niche game but not less than a great game.

Just wait until you get to the cutscenes at the restaurant with Mask de Smith. Then the game turns from merely creepy and bizarre to pure awesome.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Claiming it is "awesome" when u dont even have passed the first level is just "wrong".

This game get interest with the time u spent masterizing the different characters and trying to understand the deep strange story.

"Interesting and disturbing" YES
"awesome" not sure

This was definitely one of my favorite games last gen, but it's very flawed. The art style, themes, and story are all win. The on-rails movement is meh. The gameplay itself is yawn inducing once you get used to the weaknesses of the Heaven Smile. They don't pose a large challenge throughout the game. It's worth it to trudge through and see the ending though.

With most games... yes.

This one.  Can't see a way for it to not be awesome.

Every flaw it has seems to work out to it's advantage and the way it's style is there is basically no way for a story change to screw up the atomosphere, as the atomosphere is pure nuts.

@Kasz: Clearly you haven't played Indigo Prophecy. Started out fantastically, ended blandly and killed the mood.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
