First off let me state what when it comes to video games and consoles i am for the most part unbiased. If the console has a couple of games that peak my interest, chances are I will buy it. With that said I find it odd how biased ign.com is towards the 360. Just about every multiplatform game takes you directly to the 360 page, sure every now and then the ps3 page will come up but not often. Even during podcast beyond (ps3 ign podcast) some people do not even own ps3's and talk about how they are going to get the 360 version of a multiplatform game because of achievements. It just irritates me how I feel many websites are biased agianst a particular console. Im sick of the console wars bullshit, I have both ps3 and 360 and like them both.

Lol mabey they show more about the 360 on the multi platform games becuase more people own a 360 and will by the game on the 360 platform?

 Eh...here is how things work with IGN or any other American site.

I make and traffic ads for them as well as many other big sites...and they generally tend to put 360 games for multiplatform listings as 360 games generate more interest. When people click on the games the generate advertising revenue and 360 games are getting them more ad revenue as its got a larger userbase in NA. 

Therefore, 360 game = more page views = more ad revenue = everyone gets a christmas bonus.

If you go to Japanese/European websites I am 100% sure they will show the ps3 version rather than 360.

Their XBOX360 podcast is called Three Red Lights and they have a moment of silence before every show for all the dead XBOXs that week, they also spend a majority of their time bashing the system and its idiotic shooter mainstream base.

The PS3 podcast spends their time bashing the system for its lack of in game XMB, standardized voice chat and lack of Achievement point like system, also the constant delays of games that are suppsed to me the system.

The Wii podcast is called Nintendo Voice Chat, and their slogan is, this is the only place you will get it. enough said. And if you dont get why thats a slam on the Wii then you obviously dont own one.

I think its better for them to be critical of their system then to be all hot for it. I trust a critical person more then the optimist.

I wonder what that makes me.

Was IGN biased against GC/Xbox last generation when game pages directed to the PS2 channel or when PS2 ads were all over the place? Of course not. Sony fans would just point out how much bigger the PS2 install base is in America vs those other two consoles.

The tables have turned this generation.

ign isn't biased at alll,,,I actually like the website,,,360 as of now sold more units in NA so it's natural for them to do that,,,as long as their reviews are fair(which they are)


Gamespot.com on the other hand,,,don't get me started on that rubbish called a "gaming" website

I think the point has been driven home.
