Maybe, but MGS has always been underated imo. The game probably will be better than GTAIV and that is what everybody will be talking about the whole year. I just hope it gets in the top 20 of all time. I hope at least a 9.2 on metacritic/gamerankings.

i am not to sure about a 10. even if the game does deserve a ten i think they are going to hold back because of GTAIV getting such high scores and this game being released not long after it.
with that said the game should be an AAA title though to be honest

Based on the two IGN articles from the guy who played MGS4, if GTA deserves a 10 on IGN, MGS4 deserves an 11.  But seriously, yeah.  10.

ya and if everyone else gives it 9 and 9.5 or even 10's they lose credibility which maybe the case but I dont think so.

I think it could get a few of them, Sons of Liberty is very highly rated and regarded and by all appearances Guns of the Patriots will top it easily on all fronts (Kojima does enjoy pompous names, doesn't he? ).

With all the GTA IV backlash, no one focuses on the game. I'll settle for 9.5 average, PS3 already has the highest rated game of all time.
