Music: The music in Sonic Adventure is like no other. Each level develops a personality from the amazing tunes Sega has fantastically developed. The magical tunes of the Genesis days are rocked up to the max when they mix in with some guitar music. Levels like Emerald Coast really grasp you with its amazing music, and make you want to play more. The best thing about it is, you never get sick of it. The music is as good 5 hours through as it was the first 5 minutes.

Graphics: Sonic Adventure is a work of art for its time. Everything is clear and crisp. The graphics are very bright and cheerful, such as the bright, blue sky, and the sand in Emerald Coast.

Camera: The camera tends to have minor problems here and there, but they can easily be worked around. This caused a problem in the original Japanese release of the game, but was heavily fixed when it came out to North America, yet problems still arise here and there.

Level Design: All of Sonic's levels are imaginitive, fast, big, and fun. While finishing a level isn't very hard, achieving a record time, to get an emerald, or mere competition, can be very hard. The levels gradually become harder as you progress, and achieving a better time may become harder, as every next level tends to be longer, and more complex.

Replayability: There is no other platforming game with more replayability than this game. Why? Because you can always achieve a better time, finishing each level. Sure there are many other games out there that have time-limits, which are mostly racing games, yet those games aren't as fun as blasting through levels, sky-rocketing across towers, and running down buildings, all in a mighty blue blur. The competition forces you to play more. If you think all you have to do is hold "up" on the analog stick, then you're just not good enough. There are too many short cuts to take, to always be holding the "up" button, and that's where this game jumps out. The better you are in this game, the more joy it will bring you.

Final Word: The top 4 platforming mascots of all time are 1: Mario, 2: Sonic, 3: Donkey Kong, and 4: Crash Bandicoot (search "top selling games" in wikipedia.org). Each of these mascots have their good games and bad games. Every single Mario platforming game is good. Only Sonic's Genesis and Dreamcast days were good. Rare made the best Donkey Kong games. Naughty Dog made the best Crash Bandicoot games. Is this game one of Sonic's better games? Definitely. The original Dreamcast version is 10 times better than its Gamecube port, so if you are interested in this game, buy the Dreamcast version immediately!

I havent played it yet, any good?

If you have not played the original Sonic Adventure you are really missing out on a fun game and if you can find a working vmu still you can play sonic mini games on there as well that carryover into the main game.
