Isn't the singleplayer just very short? I've got no use for a multiplayer option so if the single player mode is short I have no interest in this game what so ever.

I'm so glad this game turned out to be quite good and that the media is accepting it. I'll purchase it as soon as I can.

It looks sort of lame... and fun at the same time. Damn you EA... maybe I'll try to rent it first.

@Onna: Doesn't it have HUNDREDS of single player levels?

Can you send created levels to other players?

...

It does look like a fun party game, and also a game "little kids" could (almost?) play. Hmmm...

Yes, there are over 300 levels, and you can load all level into the map editor to edit them, and ofcourse you can make your own maps from scratch. You can share these maps online so technically there is infinite replayability.

Ignore the stupid name, buy the game!

went into best buy, asked for boom blox, and the guy tried to send me to the "boom box" section....i laughed and went no Boom BLOX.. its a wii game...which they did not have.

I must look into this more. I'm currently obsessed with MKWii. I'm working on Okami and Brawl too. Just too many games. This looks very original and fun though. I have just put it on my probably eventually list and taken it down from my maybe list.

I've been thinking about buying this game today, after work. Hmmmmm

1Up gave the game a perfect 10 (A+), I must say I didn't plan to buy, but after tons of great scores I will buy it.

DAmn, too much great games on Wii alone.

Okami in June, WiiWare (at least 5 games are must-haves), Boom Blox, Blast Works, Pro Evo 08, NMH. And that's before the end of year storm that will come.

And I saw a 360 with Assassins Creed, Halo 3 and GTA IV for € 260,-

Just as I've been telling everyone for weeks =)  This game is going to be amazing...and now the first consumer confirmation!  Good review and for those who want to see what makes the multiplayer special I have some videos for you~

The first video they talk about the game and the multiplayer while playing around and showing you how the game works and in the rest of the videos they just show you how the editor works.  These videos are pretty good at explaining what words cannot.

Great post Sqrl, the first and last vids make me really want this game. And I totally agree with what he said in the first vid that it looks like a fantastic "party" game.

Surpassed expectations.

It surprises me not at all that a man like Stephen Speilberg can figure out what gamers want better than 95% of developers out there. After playing the original Medal of Honor games (which he had a large part in), I realized just how ridiculously talented the man is beyond movies.

Once I get through the humongous pile of games I have backed up, this is definitely a purchase.
