I was wondering whether GTA IV had got this. I know it did it in the UK and it looks that way in the US with 3.6m as opposed to SA's 2.2m, but is there another game that I am not considering. Halo 3 got 2.8m in the US, so it beats the single platform, but overall GTA IV wins as far as I can tell

Definitely large. I think it also moved about as many consoles as anyone expected with the PS3 reaching nearly 150K and the Xbox 360 above 100k also.
