Shrimpy_boy must of got disconnected during the end of the third race... he had 25 points at the time.

Not too sure on what we do with disconnections during the grand prix.

what the hell was with that?? in the last round i came first twice and it said for those two races i came 2nd and 3rd.... i was robbed >_

Well... that sort of worked. I had three phone calls during the GPs (all wedding related) - so sort of had to give up on a couple of races.

And the lag (teleporting) was terrible for me - almost unplayable. I had characters jumping all around the place, averaged 2 positions further back per race than I thought I did, etc. Shoot red shells at the character in front of me, only for them to hover then vanish...

I guess my web connection just isn't good enough for this - someone else should host the next, maybe it will be improved.

Based on all three events, I think the rankings should be:

1st - Knight_ward

2nd - Shrimpy_boy

3rd - Josh

4th - Carl

5th - Shams

Any objections? 

Is this "lagging" and "place jumping" normal? Any experienced online MK users comment? This is pretty much my first time online with MK...

thanny that was lag :P. If you look on the map and see the player's character icon disappear and then reappear you'll know that it's due to lag.

I know Shrimpy_boy beat me like that on the Shy guy beach, even know I had the winner flag being waved around my character saying I came first.

hmm my friend's list just got filled up when I added Carl, I'll see if I can delete some of the old ones that hardly come on anymore and see how my internet connection does then.

Edit: That was pretty bad lag compared to some of the matches that I've played vs either around Aus/worldwide, but alot of the place jumping only happens from time to time which isn't really too noticeable at all.  Once your wedding is over (or when anyone's connection isn't getting interfered with), I don't think we will be seeing the lag/place jumping as much.      

Anyone know if it matters *who* the server is? I have a pretty decent connection, but it can get laggy.

Also wonder if the lag is related to the significant distances between us - its quite a long way between NZ & Perth/WA :P Talking 10,000km + round trip??

Lol there was lag since i beat someone on Shy Guy Beach but came 2nd.
