Wiiware is around the corner and apparently FFCC will be pay one of the trail blazing titles – I’m not sure what this means but I’ll take a stab at it; but firstly there are a few games coming with Wiiware FFCC is one of them and the only one I’ll care about for this thread, however for completion I’ll also address the others for reference purposes.
Hudson is releasing Star Soldier on May 12, 2008 for 800 points, Gyrostar developed by the overly noted High Voltage dev team which doesn’t seem like too bad of a scrolling shooter, the game is also 4 player capable with the ability to use the Wiimote alone or Wiimote nunchuck. Yet the only game that is pay 2 play is FFCC.
I was definitely going to get that game but if it’s pay monthly to make a town, unless it’s like 100 wii points a month this thing is out of the question now. But that’s just me being cheap. However I’m sure it had downloadable content (already) that you will have to pay for – can you say holy cash ins!? Seems almost like Square is trying to test the limits of the Nintendo avid gamer – perhaps in lieu of bringing FF11 to the Wii? Or maybe their hurting hard from FF13 development.
Ok anyway Wiiware is coming and soon after Wiifit, will Wiiware take off if the way it leads is to DLC up the wazoo and pay 2 play? I know I’ll erase Wiiware from my memory the moment Tetris has DLC; but that’s just me.
Square decided to give FFCC with just Clavats – you have to buy Yukes, Selkies and Lilties, which are normally part of the FFCC universe.
I’m wondering though if this will affect FFCC sales.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.
