Forums - Nintendo - Would anyone else love to see Sierra's ____ Quest series redone for Wii

I grew up on games like King's Quest, Space Quest, and Hero's Quest.  In fact, I learned to type playing these games.  I would love to see an overhaul of these games and a polishing for WiiWare.  These series would be perfect for the Wii and I would love them all over again.  Are there any other fans out there that would love to see these series revived?

Do Sierra even care for the Wii right now?

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

It would be cool, but I doubt it would happen. I loved how even the slightest thing could kill you in those games. Fall into a shallow creek? Dead. Look at somebody the wrong way? Dead. It was hilarious.  The ones where you typed commands were even funnier.  The resolution was so low that I couldn't tell what things were, so I'd issue commands like "pick up dots" and get something like "I can't do that".

Man does that bring back memories. Those games were so funny. I remember typing for the guy in King's Quest to take off his clothes and he would look at the screen and say, "This is a family game" Just the fact that they incorporated a response for that was priceless.

Yeah, I love those games and would love to see them all redone on the Wii (like the King's Quest Collection they made for the PC a few years back just made for the Wii). We had some Sierra high ups here a few months back and I considered trying to tell them to make those collections but decided it would be best not to bother them. :-p

I honestly don't see a point as long as they're easily available on the PC (even my local Gamestop has most of them... in the kid's shelf -_- ).

^I am not talking about the free downloads here, I am talking about a WiiWare graphically polished version of these classics. Maybe even an all in one of each series or something like that, which would justify a purchase.

Remaking them for the Wii could be disastrous. The OLD Sierra is gone. The people responsible for their old adventure games have pretty much all either retired or gone off to other companies.

A simple port would probably be better. Either that or hand the project off to a company who KNOWS how to make point-and-click adventure games(say, Telltale games)
