So when GTA IV released, people grap a Wii at the same time? Or there is a GTA IV/ Wii bundle sales, it is more than PS360 combined........

If GTA IV can't defeat Wii, Who can? Don't tell me Gear of War 2/Halo 4 or MGS/FF13...... The biggest advertisement campaign on earth was Halo 3, is like everywhere + the stupid limited edition, the MC helmet (GTA IV only got a Bag and CD????)......... it only help them sell through 2,844,837 copies the 1st week, and GTA IV got more 3,703,806..........

I don't know....Sixaxis was a mess...Newton? Newton Skateboard(Wii Fit imitator)??? Maybe Nintendo busines model was right, develop Internet Service(Pay & Play), Graphics, Storage should be later....

GTAIV sold 1.3 million on a console with under 5 million installbase. While MarioKart sold 1.2 million on a console with over 11 million installbase.

Nintendo purposefully held back consoles last week. I don't remember anybody saying last week that PS360 defeated Wii in US.. why should there be a difference this week?

Nintendo did a great job of nullifying GTA4. They held back consoles and then released them and MK Wii at the same time and wow they actually beat Sony and MS in a week that many thought would be their saving grace. They are a smart bunch at Nintendo.

I mean hardware, both of the console doesn't sell so well compare to Wii....

Remember what did the PR of both Sony & M$ said, they were preparing for GTA IV... and now what?

They were creating more console, so they should sell more....

They have lower user base, it means that they have more opportunity to be purchased... they should sell more..

T2 shouldn't care it, Sony & M$ should... 

You know what, I really think that people grap a Wii when they bought GTA IV, look at the attachment rate of SMG and SSBB.......

For Nitendo - this week was all about minimizing the bad press that would have been "HD gaming booms and laughs in the face of yesterdays dated Wii". Next up is the launch of Americas Wii Fit followed by staggered shipments in the up coming months leading up to E3 to ensurwe they get the press's undivided attention.

Big win for Nintendo - they most be delighted, I fully expect them to terget core gamers in this years E3 with announcements such as DDOC, Pikmin 3, Animal Crossing, some donkey Cong game, storage solution and plenty of online playing hours covered.

When are we going to stop judging Wii's hardware sales as if it's some kind of consumer buying trend? I remember last week it was at 69K in NA and behind BOTH PS3 and 360, I don't remember anybody saying it was doomed? Wii will sell, at that price-point, almost as many as they can ship. The fact Nintendo shipped that many is no coincident. They wanted to push Mario Kart Wii, sell hardware AND kill off hypes of GTAIV.

So far.. they are only 1/3.

Mario Kart got WHIPPED by both GTAIV versions. (lost)
Wii sold as many as they can ship (won)
GTAIV hype is bigger than ever (lost)

Next week, you will probably see Wii back to their bi-monthly low, while PS360 will be around over 100K again.

As long as the games that sell massively on the Wii are not ported to the PS360 and vice versa, then the consoles will co-exist this generation. Saying that the Wii will kill any other console is just a fanboy's dream!!

I am not bashing Wii......I am bashing Sony & M$, M'kay? Because of what? Because they don't put their effort enough...stockpiling for GTA IV was just bullshit.....

Nintendo reverse the market, what should Sony & M$ do to cover back the market again?

If Wii continue to win the war, we are going to have more Mario xxx games again and other Never ending franchise, plus more stupid Game Party like game http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=25852&start=0 , they should be equivalent in the market, and it will create competition for making better games.
