Hey ioi, did you create this website all by yourself?

The problem is that we can't assume things from eyeballing them. Let's say the "right" angle in the left triangle is really 92 degrees, and the "right" angle in the right triangle is 88. You'd end up with the same line, shifted up and left, still bisecting the horizontal line, but the diagonal would be longer on the left side than the right. It can't be proven or disproven without more info.

No, that's wrong. The key is that the point on the main line where the intersection occurs is exactly halfway. This can only occur when the "right" angles are identical in both triangles (they don't have to be right-angles - that isn't important though).

How did you, by yourself, create such an impressive thread? Wow, this is amazing! No help from anyone else? How did you do it? Did you go to school for it? Where do you get all of your facts? This is amazing. I want to make a website as good as yours! This puts me to shame... That's it. I'm going back to school. You even have advertisements, like a true, professional website. I mean, this is a true, professional website... What am I saying? How did you make this? So much complexity. So informational. Well, I'm glad I could contribute to your amazing website.

Definition of congruent: Coinciding when superimposed. Wow, the definition is more confusing than the word itself...

I understand the entire "congruent" thing, but it's hard to write it down in an explanation.

If congruent means that they have the same angles, so yes they are congruent, but if congruent means that they are exactly the same(length of each sides and angles), no they are not congruent.

The right trieangle is slightly bigger than the left one, just use your mouse to measure the vertical side in both triangles and you will see that they don't have the same length.

The first triangle is a little bit smaller than the second one. I guess this means they are not congruent.

This explains it best: http://argyll.epsb.ca/jreed/math9/strand3/triangle_congruent.htm

Yeah, I totally understand now. So I guess they are congruent...

yes they are
