TurboGrafx-16 2.500.000

Those are just NA sales, it sold around 10m WW. Seeing as it never officially released in Europe you can assume ~7.5m in Japan where it was known as the PC Engine. Probably my favourite console.

> Apple Pippen 42.000

I'm sorry, but that made me "lol"

Yes, you´re right I´ve updated the chart. ^^

I´ve some additional numbers, too:

Pac-Man managed 7.000.000 units on the Atari 2600, that´s enormous. ^^

The game Adventure managed 1.000.000 in North America [also Atari 2600]. :D

Here are the numbers for some Intellevision games [from one thread postet long time ago here]:

Las Vegas Poker & Black Jack 2.000.000 (pack-in)
MLB Baseball 1.000.000
NFL Football 1.000.000
Astrosmash 1.000.000 (free bonus)
Space Armada 1.000.000
Space Battle 1.000.000
Star Strike “nearly” 800.000
Armor Battle 700.000
Auto Racing 575.000

Tennis 350.000
Frog Bog 350.000
NHL Hockey 325.000
Sub Hunt 300.000
NASL Soccer 300.000
B-17 Bomber 300.000 (voice game)
Space Spartans 300.000 (voice game)
Utopia 250.000
Horse Racing 250.000
Backgammon 150.000
Checkers 125.000
Shark Shark! 100.000
Reversi 100.000
Las Vegas Roulette 100.000
Vectron 100.000
Sharp Shot 100.000
Royal Dealer 75.000 (the lowest sales of any pre-crash release Mattel game)
Sales data has been found for three other games

The BSRs website says Advanced Dungeons & Dragons sold 700.000
The BSRs website says that Tron Solar Sailer (voice) sold 90.000
It can be inferred from the BSRs website that Bomb Squad (voice) sold 300.000

Does anyone has more software sale data [BKK2?], so we can make a nice chart with this old games. :D :D

C64 17.000.000 - 22.000.000

I wonder how many of those were the console version.

Probably the most pointless console ever. No keyboard, disc drive, tape deck, etc. Could only play cartridge games, which the computer version could do already.

First cartridge game I ever owned was for Commodore 64:

I still remember the "three blind mice" soundtrack, drove you crazy after a few games.

Around the Network

Amstrad tried something similar around the same time with a console version of their Amstrad computers.

It completely bombed, I don't think it even launched outside of Europe. I remember the games for it used to score terribly too. Even multi-platform games had far lower scores than their Master System counterparts.

Here is the thread on Intellivision sales

I won't repeat the numbers ...because they were all listed.
I will say that 6M is the accepted sales figure -- 3M by Mattel and 3M post crash by INTV Inc.

@BKK2 -- Kewl C64 console version. I had not seen that.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Yeah, I remember it. xD

@mike:

Do you have some sale figures for other old systems? :)

I´ve just found numbers for Pac-Man and Adventure. :)

I don't think it launched outside of Europe either.

I don't really have any software sales figures from this era.
