Forums - Gaming - Bioshock details in EGM July Issue

Bioshock is featured as EGM July's cover and there is an in depth description of first hours of the game and discussion with one of the game creators.

Basically here are the key things of note:

1. Game to be 25 hours long.

2. Expect very good A.I.; Ken Levine says: 'Our enemies don't just sit around wiating for the player to show up with a pistol'.

3. Expect some puzzles (not overly so)

4. Heavy emphasis on water effects (the water might be the best looking in any game ever).

5. Emphasis on different kinds of approaches to getting through the game (not just run and gun of other FPS games), using the environment and turning enemies on each other are key aspects of the game.

6. The game looks better and better every time I see it and this time is no exception, EGM says the visuals are on par with Gears of War. I think the distinct style of the game and environment actually might make this game a lot more memorable visually.

7. EGM mentiones that they expect it to eventually go to the PS3 as well.

8. Very story driven game that is totally concentrating on single player gameplay alone.

So 360 owners, save some cash for this game on August 21 cause this thing is a monster.

Damn I knew there was almost no PS3 fans here, but it seems the number of 360 fans are even less...

Yes it is and it's cheaper there.

I'm getting the collector's edition which is sweet.

Might get it if it hits PS3.

Not too many PC fans on here either...

Well I don't get much response for Super Smash Bros news either...so who knows, maybe everyone's on vacation right now.

Either that or they're locked in stupid fanboy arguments.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Never been a PC fan. I like playing my consoles on a nice, big T.V. screen. I guess you could connect your PC to your T.V., but it would be kind of awkward. Anyways, Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be awesome.

Fans kind of go: Nintendo Playstation PC Xbox At any rate, my anticipation for the game is slowly growing. I might buy it if I have extra cash and its $30. Condemned was vastly under-rated, and it looks like Bioshock is in a similar vein.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

This is going to be much much much much better than condemned. This game is gonna be one of the top games of this year on any console, it's seriously something else completely.

August 21st? Relesed to compete with MP:3 perhaps?
