I think what is more interesting is how many Fifa gamers might move to Pro Evo. Maybe the title of this thread should be :

The Wii - Pro Evo's weapon of choice.

I've been playing Fifa since it was out on the Sega Mega Drive and for the first time ever I'm tempted to get Pro Evo as my friends are highly recommending it.

I have a feeling that Fifa is going to turn in to Pro Evo in terms of controls. I don't know if it'll happen by 09, but It'll definitely happen.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

I guess that I could photoshop ioi's face into a picture of some trashed soccer hooligans.... but the big guy might put the banhammer down hehe

It would seem I crossed my own wires somehow when talking about the origins of football.:S

your point about football being a differtent game back then is completely true, there were games where you could handle the ball and games where you couldnt so it would all get a bit confusing.

Somewhere along the line I started talking crap and missed my original point, which was that football yes football officially originated first, The FA laws of the game were established in 1863, the name association football stems from the name FA= football association. Originally the new laws of the game were called FA rules football but the game was always called football in england, where the game originated.

People started to call it soccer in other countries when they started their own sets of rules and leagues of their own games, Such as american football which the game was properly established in 1920 ish? i think???

The name rugby comes from the town rugby like i stated previously with the rugby union rules officially being created after football in 1871.

"Only if you call Soccer Assosiation League Football instead of Football and give the name football back to Rugby... who had it first... and is where America actually got the name from.

As Rugby was the original Football. (Well many games were called football, but Rugby Football was the first organized offical "football" game.) " Said kasz

So my point was, people in England have always called the game football since the rules were devsied(before rugby), so just because other countries call it by another name, (including the misleading stupid wikipedia article on association football probably created by someone who wasnt English) doesnt mean to say its shouldnt be called football, as that was its birth name.

So football created before rugby, named football or FA rules/laws football commonly named football before american football and rugby ever officially existed. Although you do have an undoubtably sound point about the original games involving the feet, i wouldnt take that away from you.

I am happy to discuss this elsewhere but i dont want to go off topic anymore.deja vu?

++ i saw no mercy in your games list and now i love you.
