Nintendo has succeeded this generation with both the DS and the Wii in differentiating themselves from the competition in every way possible. Sony and MicroSoft will be struggling to be different from each other, but Nintendo will still be so damn different, that Sony/MS's differences will go unnoticed again.

Most consoles innovate at least a tiny bit in some way, but Nintendo has always innovated up the ass. For example, look at every Nintendo controller. Look at the evolution from NES to SNES to N64 to GC to Wii. Every single one is a crazy experiment. Look at the complete lack of evolution from PS1 to PS2 to PS3 or from XBox to XBox 360. Nintendo never rocks the same controller twice.

Nintendo might just really flesh out the user interface, Miis, online, and tighten the controls, and still have a huge success. The Wii2 could come with a better Wii remote and a better balance board and some ridiculous Wii Sports/Fit hybrid that just dominates the entire universe. Throw in some Pokemanz and Nintendogs and they could even DESTROY THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE.

I don't think the next generation of handhelds/consoles from Nintendo will be as huge a departure from the previous ones as this generation's were. Both will have improved graphics capabilities. For the DS 2, it'd be cool to see two touch screens. For the Super Wii, my guess is that they'll work out how to shrink all of that Wii remote stuff down so that it's wearable. You know, with kind of a glove form factor :).

Basically Nintendo will pursure a more disruptive path on the next console but for now
their dedicated to applying the DS/Wii to everyday life.

Also the next console will either be influenced by their competitors or not, he isn't certain
however their ID's are currently working on it together. But the main goal is
given the status of technology when it's ready will influence what's in the box meaning,
should HD become profitable it could be in it, but by then we should have omega super
HD.

The point is that he gears to make the launch price affordable for everyone possible,
that affects the technology in the box.
