Who goes to gamespot for anything? I think I haven't visited that page in 8 years, besides a linked review or two from metacritic that might have interested me, but really no more than that during all those years.

 It may have been.  But giving GTA IV a 10 and then the reason provided totally lowered standards.  Otherwise a whole slueth of games between Soul Calibur and GTA IV should have 10's as well.

 I call complete BS.   A website doesn't just go live on its own.  I've used publishing queues and know enough network administration to get a good chuckle out of this one.

 

EDIT: So he intitially had it at 9.5 but a peer committee that wasn't reviewing the game convinced him it was a 10?  WTF?

The guy that reviewed the game gave Jade Empire (an 88% on GR game) a 9.9 and thought he was still under-rating it.

So no, i don't trust IGN's review THIS time. I know the game is good as i enjoy it quite a lot but their review was a joke.
