Ok, looking for opinions from you guys.

I've been working on posting press releases as I get them, mostly for new game announcements and the like.  Lately I've also been doing screenshots and am working on trailers as well, but these haven't gotten much interest.

There's a lot of information out there, though, and only so much time.  My question to you is - what do you want to see in the news section?  Do you care about screenshots and game trailers, or do you always go elsewhere for those anyway?  Does it matter if a game is announced here if you're just going to read it somewhere else - even if it's posted here first (as it is sometimes)?  We don't have insider access to a lot of events yet so we're mostly going by press releases so far.  But exclusive news bits are coming, and there will always be the bits of sales analyses as we have sales data in abundance, but as far as more mainstream gaming news, what is it you guys would like to see?

i think the most important thing in the news section are the sales-related news, and they are fine already.

But game announcements should be here too, i think they shouldn't miss in any news section.

trailers and screenshots are the least important i think... you can post them if you have time, but if not, it's fine. i think we will also see them on other pages and we can also post them in the forums ourselves.

Currently Playing: Skies of Arcadia Legends (GC), Dragon Quest IV (DS)

Last Game beaten: The Rub Rabbits(DS)

I think personally that the news section should be updated has quickly as possible. Also in reference to screenshots, it's likely I'll see them elsewhere on the internet, so that's not really a priority for me.

I think news should only be posted if it's REAL news. Leave the rumors, screenshots, trailers, and things like that to the forums.

Well the thing with screenshots and trailers is that they're normally locked away and I'd have to download them and then upload them to this site. The goal is to eventually be a source that people will look at for all kinds of information in addition to the sales figures. I think the appropriate solution might be to have a separate "media" section in addition to the news section, I'll chew on it a bit more.

I like the idea of a seperate Media section. I find myself coming back here more and more lately for news and media as many people can point me in the right direction or send me a link. it would just be that much more convenient, for me anyway, to have a section dedicated to it.
